yeah my co workers also thought this was a good idea but that was in 1999 when Oracle just came out with a database for linux....we were hoping that they would come out with their own distribution with the database already installed and tweaked.... I guess better late than never.... I also remember on the first version of the database they misspelled linux and then on the next version they said the database was for the linus operating system.

The author states that now the alternative operating systems now have their chance to try to topple microsoft but really what has any of the linux ditributions tried to do with the time between XP and vista? The only company I think that has taken the opportunity is apple where they first implement features that rival vista into OS X and then switch their entire line over to intel while microsoft is just trying to put out an OS. I guess Sun came out with backend stuff (zones, janus) and open sourced their os.
so my girl friend got an at&t wireless cell phone, they got bought out so her phone changed to cingular and now I guess in a year it will change back - she had problems with her contract when they changed from at&t to cingular I wonder what will happen now

I when I am about to enter into a stressful time, such as a speech, I imagine the worse possible thing happening but I also imagine myself smiling and feeling calm during this disaster. this usually prepares me and it is never as bad as I imagine it to be - I believe I got this from the dalia lama - but I could be wrong

when my girlfriends parrot get jealous it also does a slow flight around my head and then takes the plunge into the back of my neck....and I also start screeching like a mad monkey...just to fullfil my primal duties
why are there so many fucking shows about work?! If I actually watched TV it should be paying me overtime as a lawyer,CSI agent and now an IT worker - plus TV should be paying for my flights between Las Vegas and Miami for my CSI gig
it sounded like they are at their 10 year high school reunion, bragging about all of the girls that they COULD of laid.
anyways I have always thought sun and apple were made for each other - sun for the backend and mac for the client....once I get a mac intel gonna dual boot it with osx and solaris.

I didn't get into trouble because I was solicitating sex in a pre-teen chat room - it was because I was trying to impress the kids that I downloaded OS X via bittorrent....
screw getting OS X and having apple lawyers get all mad at you - there are plenty of open source projects who need people to try out their alpha and beta builds...

I also wanted to quit - the management was awful, I was constantly depressed and did'nt ever want to go to work. I did a little research and if you can hold out for about 9 months ( this was in 2001 ) then you might be okay - you probably need about 20k in savings, and keep the expenses down...maybe get a shitty 1/2 time job.
