Make it mandatory at certain time for everyone to attend a meeting, schools have places where you can lecture 500 kids. Explain about updating, common viruses & how not to get them, at meeting explain that they need to have computer on at certain time in future. Nessus scan everyone who has major faults (out of date computer) pull off the network, those who werent on give a second chance. Same with those that missed the first meeting, give them 1 extra chance, if they dont do anything yank their internet. Firewalling p2p would help also.

Before I was getting around 30 spams a day, now about 2 to 4. One problem with unsubscribing to spam, I noticed if you do it every day you continue to get the spam. On their opt out links they say something like please allow 7 days for their servers to delete you. Guess what after 6 days and you unsubscribe again, they wait to those new 7 days are up. It really works, though not all spams have unsubscribing, and usually it takes a while to hunt and find the link. What really needs to happen is the people who work in the spam division at gmail, hotmail, and yahoo need to get their acts together and put together pages where you can mass unsubscribe to these things.
Outlook has so many more features then thunderbird. Since I dont use outlook I will give my mom's answer when she looked at thunderbird for her office. Can I use it to schedule the presentation rooms? Can I use it to sync? With email filters pretty much grabbing all the outlook viruses anyways, most buisness shouldnt be too concerned running outlook. Firefox was different it has MORE features and protects in ways that just arent too realistic on win2k in an office enviroment. When employees go home, generally they like to keep the same stuff. Besides most users stupid enough to get a virus with outlook will get a virus with thunderbird, so there's no real reason to get people to switch.
I remember awhile ago I installed this a long time ago when it first started development, and it still supported my old hauppauge card and my Riva TNT2 video card, Installed it yesterday when I saw 0.1.0.0 was released and it doesnt even open, read the min requirements, and you NEED a mpeg2 hardware encoder, WMP9 which crashes my system so I refuse to install it, and a directx 9 card. After my frusttration yesterday, I convinced myself maybe I should install mythtv, Not sure if I will need a mpeg2 encoder for time shifting, but it will be a fun project over the break.

I dont get the big hype of vorbis files that have been transcoded from mp3, quality doesnt magically appear.

I liked the old theme more, the new icons are just too big, and roundish styled.
