2000/XP don't really have a verbose boot, just a list of drivers and such being loaded and then an NT4-style info screen (Microsoft Windows Version 5.1 (Build 2600)) if you boot with the/sos switch.
Find the prices of the local places (Best Buy, CompUSA, mom-and-pop setups), average them, and undercut by about $10-20. Make it known that you charge less than the other places. Voila.
And completely neglects engine extensibility. Almost everything in Doom 3 is controlled through, esentially, text files. Nothing game-specific is hard-coded. The only things that aren't text are the textures, engine, and engine-script interface (gamex86.dll). I haven't checked out HL2 yet, but it certainly isn't that flexible.
Well, Linux can be downloaded in a friendly ISO format, but my SVR4 2.1 disks are in some wierd-ass format I can't use with anything except this one german program.
This looks really nice. Makes a wonderful impression on someone who last used GNOME at 2.0. Loads better than KDE, especially with Keramik for the default scheme.
When my other PC's C: partition fucked up (long story involving crap MS software), I happened to mention it to one of my friends. She told me to go buy a new computer (like she knew how to fix it).
I used to be a big fan of TechTV, up until May 7. That was effectively the end of TechTV to me. G4 basically took over the channel and replaced everybody with young, slightly more good-looking hosts.
Message to G4 types: young, good-looking hosts don't make a show. People that know what they're talking about do.
So now, G4TechTV sucks. It can't even be considered TechTV anymore- they completely revamped TSS into one of the most disgusting shows I have ever seen. The only good host is Keven Rose - is he still even with them? I haven't watched it since about September. And X-Play. It's the only show I *will* watch on there. At least Adam and Morgan got to stay. I dunno how they didn't get their personalities butchered.
I'd like to be the first to formally welcome you to Slashdot.
Ever heard of Slackware? It's definitely not bloated and still provides a huge assortment of packages.
Of course! We don't want the publisher getting all the issues!
tar xzvf make-magazine-1.1.tar.gz
./configure --pages=192
cd make-magazine-1.1
make articles
make magazine
Rappers and their fans that speak English natively are in sore need of something like that.
What, we can predict how Shirley Jackson stories are going to end?

Wasn't 2.2 removed by 8.1 and 2.4 upped to 2.4.18?
Very nice sig. I don't think too many people would get it.
Ever hear a 14-year-old girl answer a question in school? It's fricking INSANE hearing them turn a statement into a question:
"What happenened in 79 A.D.?"
"Vesuvius erupted?"
Or...how about Debian on servers, and Ubuntu on clients? They can be maintained the same way (apt) and are, at the base elvel, still Debian.

397? That sounds kinda low for the average IE user on a DSL line.
use a keygen for installation and use corp. it's unlikely you'll use the same key as somebody else.
Actually, I don't think there were any third-party (or even MS) apps for Windows 1.x. 2.x got PageMaker.

Damn.
It looks like you're running on Linux...what filesystem are you using? Reiser(4(?)) would be a big help here.
Alright, let's see what my GeForce 2 MX can do...
when you read the title, did you think something about toastytech and his IE is evil page?
It's getting to the point where we shouldn't hear about the architectures NetBSD supports, but rather, the ones it doesn't. ;)
*sigh*

Maybe because you're AC.
