> Believe it or not, there are still people who are loyal to the country and "believe in the mission."
If the mission has something to do with following the Constitution and "We the people," probably most of us are. The Constitution is a great document. The most prominent violators of the Constitution are in the White House, enriching themselves at the expense of the mission.

This definition says that when Indiana Jones says, "Nazis, I hate these guys," the movie is hate speech.
> "As the economy gets better we seem to be serving more people."
By "better" he probably means a rising GDP or Dow Jones Industrial Average, but the average isn't the only measure. The distribution matters too, and it's hard to argue that a growing gap between the rich and poor is an improvement.
Since the only people I see with fitness trackers are obese and the fit people I see don't have fitness trackers, I conclude that other strategies work better.
Is there research that shows they help?
I searched before posting. This Journal of the American Medical Association published study found "the addition of a wearable technology device to a standard behavioral intervention resulted in less weight loss over 24 months. Devices that monitor and provide feedback on physical activity may not offer an advantage over standard behavioral weight loss approaches."
The study's subjects aren't everyone, but it seems that for many, no fitness tracker is best.
> Recent discoveries suggest that there's a perfect symmetry between matter and antimatter... going by our findings so far, there simply shouldn't be a universe
I have a different discovery that it does exist, so I suggest you theorist go back to the drawing board.
Your existence proves me right. Or you don't exist and can't prove me wrong. Either way, the universe exists.
The irony is that all plants are all negative emissions, yet we burn and chop down rain forests at a football field every few seconds (in metric: a futbol field every few seconds).
Obligatory Monty Python, showing how it works.
If only the company had some sort of general search function.

I wonder why they don't warm themselves with their lasers.

Is that what we want?
Humbug!
Apple has become what its 1984 super bowl ad implied it was liberating us from.
Looks like Apple is ripe for being liberated from.
Do we know who he voted for?
Any guesses?
By your definition it doesn't make economic sense to
- require seat belts
- require air bags or other safety features
- require catalytic converters
- prevent factories from dumping toxic waste into rivers and the air
- etc.
Not everyone considers human and environmental safety just "feel good" mandates.

Also, when Kennedy said it, it had never been done before. It had barely been dreamed.
Trump is suggesting something that's already been done.

Written browsing Slashdot.
I haven't hit my lifespan peak yet.
I mean, I hit my personal best a moment ago, but I just beat it.
And I did again too.
There, I did it again.

Then follow up with The Right to Read by Richard Stallman for how it's evolving.
Yo dawg. I heard you like AI, so we built an AI with AI so you can AI while you AI.
The post why selection bias is the most powerful force in education describes what's happening here, and it's not about educating students, sadly.
Why only get rid of microplastics?
How about most macroplastic waste too? We've filled our world with wasteful packaging, unnecessary plastic bags, disposable everything, and so on.
If we keep the useful macroplastic and stop producing the rest, we'll still get rid of a lot of waste and pollution.

You should have posted as AC.
Well, before them, then. Someone at the start must have been self taught.
It can't be turtles, turtles, turtles all the way down.
Can schools restructure tuition so it's zero for students they now waive it for?
Then, instead of waiving tuition, they don't charge some students. Now, no waiver to tax.

Searching for "Miserable Failure", George W. Bush still dominates the top results.
Can we finally conclude the result is legitimate?
