IMHO, Another good one is Mplayer for OSX. Here is what mplayer is (from this website):
"MPlayer is a movie player for Linux (runs on many other Unices, and non-x86 CPUs, see the documentation). It plays most MPEG, VOB, AVI, Ogg/OGM, VIVO, ASF/WMA/WMV, QT/MOV/MP4, FLI, RM, NuppelVideo, YUV4MPEG, FILM, RoQ, PVA files, supported by many native, XAnim, and Win32 DLL codecs. You can watch VideoCD, SVCD, DVD, 3ivx, DivX 3/4/5 and even WMV movies, too (without the avifile library)."
I have personally used it on my Powerbood and it runs great. Sounds good? You can download it from here
Three weeks ago we issued our bi-annual Talk Back Survey and more than 80 percent of you participated - much higher than the norm for a company our size. That tells me you care and are committed to making EA better.
No... this tells me your hacked off about working conditions and want to tell management to kiss it.
In the next 30 days we'll have the survey results and we will share them openly with you by the middle of January.
No... in the next 30 days you need to hire some more employees so that people don't revolt against you and throw old copies of Madden football at the office. Oh and let the fat guy keep his Swingline.... for gosh sakes the Bostch jams when he is stapling his TPS reports.
I would think that this technology would preform a lot like a LCD screen. That's liquid too. Yeah it will expierence a little weird behavior in extreme cases, but I guess that's the price of luxury.
At least if done well, it won't be as bad as some of the movies that have been made into video games. How many people have you seen flock over the new "The Incredibles" video game? Or what about the first LOTR game, Harry Potter, Finding Nemo, The Chronicles of Riddick, etc. Yes some of the ones I mentioned are kiddie games and little kids will like them, but there are only a handful of movie-based video game I would even give a chance. For example LOTR Two Towers and Return of the King, Enter the Matrix (which was horribly short), Spiderman, and some of the 007 series.
Doesn't the hero usually get the girl? Look at Batman, Superman, Spiderman and more recently Mr. Incredible:) they all got women... We must be the sidekick, like Robin. Hell... even Vader got some play (he even had twins) WTH is wrong with the world today?
It is important that you give us the necessary information so we can bring this man to justice. He is illegally downloading all the music in the world and that is killing our plans for world domination
Sincerely,
RIAA
P.S. Do you know where we can get some atomic bombs?
The Gameboy Advance SP can play movies too. No need to convert the files either. Just put on CF and go.:) My brother has one and it was pretty cool until he updated the firmware and broke it... bummer.
For all you people out there who don't like Star Wars because of its bad acting and silly plotline, let me inlighten you on GL's real motivation: ILM. All Star Wars is to Lucas is a project to make money for ILM and LucasArts. If you don't believe me watch the special features on the trilogy DVD (or Bittorent them you cheap insensitive clods).
What makes me laugh though is how many people go and watch it only to make fun of how bad the acting is. Why not talk about the Special Effects, or the digital clarity of the film, or how insane a fully computer generated battle with thousands of CG charaters was not possible before this movie. Talk about those things and shut up about the plot and how bad you think it is. Get it through your heads that plot isn't what make Star Wars great, its the SE and the inovation that makes it great.
I can only wonder what the house looked like. It could have been a nice 2 story house with a basement and a hole exposing the sewer tunnel that leads to the street outside of the bricked in front yard... Maybe like this house:)
Imagine a Beowulf cluster of Gamecubes? Oh the possiblities:)

Well... all i am saying is that Netscape is still hanging in there and thanks to the Mozilla project and others like Opera, the world is a better place.
No more will I settle for a mediocre browsing expierence. When M$ came out with IE Netscape stepped right into the fire and took them head on. They didn't back down because Bill Gates wanted to throw money and weight around. As a result, others are winning in the browser market. I look at it this way, Netscape was king for years even with M$ breathing down its neck.
Now look at IE... I wouldn't want to double-click that blue E for anything. It's like the rich step-child that knows it isn't better than their poor step-brothers. No amount of money will make people feel better about IE. Real geeks (like myself) know that IE sucks and browsers like Mozilla, Opera, and Safari are magnatudes better. That is all due to the bravery of Netscape.
So stand up for your elders and praise Netscape. They deserve the credit for fighing and continuing to fight. They are still a company that the common user can recognize as a viable alternative to IE. I can't begin to tell you how many people I talk to about Mozilla and they say "What's that?" but if I say "It's like Netscape but better", they instantly realize what I am saying. Face it, Mozilla is walking in the footsteps of a giant and that has to be recognized.

You apparently don't know your history. Netscape founded Mozilla. Netscape released it's code to Mozilla and got them started. Today, Mozilla is now a foundation that accepts donations and Netscape no longer owns Mozilla, but they still should take the credit. Mozilla wouldn't be were it is today without netscape. Educate yourself read the wikipedia and shut the fcsk up.
Python is great very robust, easy to use, and capable to do a lot of things quickly. I also know that Mark is a great guy. I have sent him emails on trouble I have had on things and he has given great responses to them. Very upstanding guy. All blessings to Mark Pilgrim and his contribution to OSS with Python.
SCO yes SCO for making a complete idiot of themselves and suing IBM for a product (Linux) that they don't even own. Also for other such hilarious comments as Linux doesn't exsist, Linux is just Unix, and we no longer offer Linux to our customers
Well if you add numeric characters to that you get 46656 different combinations, but of course not all will be used (e.g. 666 or KKK) :)
Great all we need now is Pauly Shore and Stephen Baldwin and we got ourselves a big hit.
Are you new here? You must be new here... Don't you know this is slashdot and anything Google is news. Oh and BTW GOOG is don 0.21 as of 12:49PM ET
