According to a relative of mine in law enforcement this attack is already in play in several major cities. Generally targeting Apple stores as the cards that are collected are more-likely to have higher limits and available balances. The CC thief generally stands at the entrance to the store with a backpack, and is automatically uploading card details to a central host. Those details are then written to blank cards and used in Casinos in Las Vegas within a matter of hours.
I worked for a contracting company @ HP in Boise. Issue here is that the people who are suing(Adecco, VeriTest, Manpower) are not contractors. They are employees of their respective companies.
The companies(Adecco, VeriTest, Manpower) pay the paychecks, the employees just happen to work at an HP building. The story would be different if these people were independent contractors, contracted directly to HP, but they're not.
Not to mention, the people quoted in the article no longer work for any of those companies... I'm wondering why they left employment in the first place.

You should hack into high-profile website. That way, when you get got, the government will offer you a job...:)
But seriously, what are the requirements that your placement must meet? I wouldn't think it'd be too hard to get a placement in an IT Dept. somewhere, anywhere, it may not be glamourous, but I would imagine it would fulfill your requirement.

I don't believe that he means they will be "shutting down" your Steam access, or whatever. Sounds to me that they'll be taking a page out of the RIAA and MPAA's handbooks, and simply contacting your ISP and notifying them that you're sharing copyrighted works...
The guy who wrote the article blew it way out of proportion, and entirely too many "news" sites have picked up this little unverified tidbit as truth.
Tivo Corporate Headquaters, 11/17/2004 -
Tivo plans to dramatically reduce customer base, at the same time driving themselves out of business. This news comes on the heels of the announcement of people liking the Tivo service. Tivo CEO states "We've become too popular in the past few years. We need to take drastic steps immediately to reduce that popularity, or we might actually be too profitable."
Do you find that you receive a positive or negative response from the gaming industry? Or does this more depend on the reviews you give of their games?
I'm going to have to say Playmobil. Just simply action figures and such, but so very very detailed. Expensive, as those european toys always are, but well worth it in my opinion. http://www.playmobil.com/

Then you suddenly realized that it was you who was incompetent all along, but you were just in denial...
I recently visited the ATM at my local bank a few nights ago, and to my amazement, there was no text or graphics on the screen, just several of the telltale Internet Explorer broken image icons.
This is how Skynet is born.

Real companies use tripods when they shoot promo videos.

Really, how hard would it have been to go to a more-secure os/browser combination? Certainly wouldn't have been more expensive...

I figure i could bypass the security robot just by screaming 10 different commands at it at once.. it'll jsut freeze up like the server did :)

Is it just me, or does it seem that every story that lists the source as a "Russian Security Expert" is generally a load of crap?

In my estimation, the closer programming languages get to math, the better off we'll be.
It doesn't need to be easy to write, it needs to be easy to read later.
