My site uses an ivory background with a lighter black text color and everyone who's visited says it's pleasing on the eyes. (Although it is fairly devoid of content)
I could live without email as it hasn't been hopelessly intertwined into my life.... yet. I could always set up a discussion board/similar on my website for people to post whatever they wanted to email me with. Oh! And then I could have a program automatically parse that. And to post my replies!
I've thought of ditching TV when I go into college, but then I think about some actual good shows, such as those on the Discovery channel (READ: Mythbusters and Junkyard Wars). Maybe it'd be a good thing to expose your kids to those and let them carry on their own ideas after they're done? (Not that I have any expertise with kids other than just being one:) )
It is just a wrapper around WMP. I'd suggest downloading the file again, since it sounds like it was corrupted (and yes, downloading it again is free...)
"I'm calling to report my neighbor Yankel Rabinovitz as an enemy of the State. He is hiding undeclared diamonds in his firewood."
"This will be noted."
Next day, the KGB goons come over to Rabinovitz's house. They search the shed where the firewood is kept, break every piece of wood, find no diamonds, swear at Yankel Rabinovitz and leave.
The phone rings at Rabinovitz's house.
"Hello, Yankel! Did the KGB come?"
"Yes."
"Did they chop your firewood?"
"Yes, they did."
"Okay, now it's your turn to call. I need my vegetable patch plowed."
Several times so far have led me to think that having a cell phone would be handy.... But that's about the extent of it:P
The first time was at Best Buy ~50 miles away from home where my car died (cause still unknown over a year later and nothing has been able to get it in working shape again). I ended up waiting 6 hours and several shift changes at best buy until they let me ues their phone for a quick long distance call...
The second time is when I had a tire blow out 10 miles from anything driving to school. Luckily I managed to find the cleverly hidden pole to lower the spare tire before 3rd period.
In the US I've grown up with the distinction that comics don't have the greatest of bindings and are printed on flimsier paper and graphic novels have good binding and nice thick paper. I've never really been into either though, so *shrug*.
And if you're under 18 during the signups.....
:)
You can idle in the IRC channel and pick up tips, like me
An extra $100 and I'll write "Ferrari" on the side and give it spoilers.
So I installed *BSD

That's no problem either, 225 is the perfect cube of root(225,3)!
Posting to erase those modpoints I accidentally gave you (-1, OT)
I also plan on buying one ASAP, but without any games for a few months until they start to go down a little.
question like "up, down, top, bottom, strange"

Must be your connection, as I'm getting a nice 300kb/s which was less than 20 minutes start to finish for an episoe of Numb3rs.

Or possibly a RAID-1? (I believe that's the correct one, where it copies to both HDDs)

Handy in a pinch? YES!
Needed? NO!

I generally don't capitalize or put any punctuation in IMs (other than the apostrophe and that sort of stuff :) )
It was an accident involving time travel and contraceptives! I swear!
Well thanks a lot, Marvin!
Although a lot is depressing these days....
