I hope this means Valve is also working on their own distro of Linux. (And hopefully it's 64-bit...)
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they already have something in Alpha.
Seriously, what the fuck is its point anymore?
Last I check I didn't live in the United Nations. I lived in a country that has it's own sovereign rights and laws.
Not sure why it posted as AC.
It took me a day. When I tried to use atm card and found that my entire bank account was emptied out. The bank was supposed to call me, it then took over 1 month to get my money back, thank goodness I had friends and family to help me out. I made damn well sure to never use that bank again.
I'm not talking about security through obscurity, where did I talk about that?
All I asked was why do people trust doing banking on their cell phone or any electronic device? I don't use my computer for banking. I actually go to the bank. Is convenience worth having your life completely turned upside down or ruined?
These are just questions I would like to understand the answers to. Let me rephrase the question
Why do we trust things that are so easily compromised?
Make it yourself. Seriously, companies are under no obligation to "Think of the children!".
"...was a website his 6-year-old son could visit on his own..."
Actually why the hell are you letting your 6 year old surf on their own anyway?
If someone doesn't care about getting the new stuff when it's new, then to them, there is no life of the console.
Does the fun factor of a game change because it's purchased and played a year after the game came out?
You are forgetting that game prices also drop. And hell if I can get an Xbox for $99 and 20 games for $10 each, that's $300 I just spent and I have 20 games to play and have fun with.
If I purchased the Xbox when it first came out at $300 and each game when they first came out at $50 a game thats $1300 total!
"Windows PCs don't use IBM chips, and they never will"
According to who? Apple was never going with Intel apparently. But hey look at the latest Xbox system, runs on a 3 core PowerPC cpu. Sure it's a gaming system, but with everyone hyping the Cell cpu, II wouldn't be surprised to see a version of Windows for it soon. Hell they are already running Linux.
I do not know what reselling laws are in other countries, but last I checked once I purchased a product, whether it be a pizza, car or Computer I am now OWNER of said product. Therefore I can do whatever the hell I want with it.
I don't believe Nintendo has ever gone after the creators of the Emulators. They have gone after ROM sites that carry copyrighted games. Which they have every right to go after.
Full backwards compatibility with all previous GameBoy systems(the Virtual Boy was not a Gameboy system) Use of a SD card slot for N.DS games. Built in 802.11g/wifi, plus Nintendo propriety wireless technology/protocol 2 LCD displays, one standard GBA style screen, one touch sensitive display. 6 action buttons, 4 face buttons 2 shoulder buttons. Backlit screens. Microphone port. Use of the Gameboy cartridge slot for connecting peripherals. ~10 hours of battery life/ rechargeable battery.
that will defend our rights to do what ever we like to the products we buy.
How come I am not arrested/sued when i buy a kitchen nife. I could possibly kill someone with it.
Once you pay for something you now own it. Plain and simple. I'm not renting the hardware from sony.
This is what they should have done to those judges. give them a dell computer. Then give them some ram chips. Next have them put the ram into the computer. Now sue them for "modding" the computers.
"A method by which ideas of an individual or company can have their ideas recorded and checked by a goverenment agency. And then awarded full rights of ownership of idea."
I also sent a cease and disist letter to the US patent agency.
I find that most toshiba Flat screen CRT TVs have excelent quality when viewing a video game. What even rally nice about them is that some models have component video for an even better image quality. And a 24 inch one will go for about $299

Yeah but will it be able to cook a house filled with popcorn?
I've been doing this for a while now. http://www.atlus.com/trauma_center/ ;)
Um some of those games aren't even out yet. Also Metroid prime hunters has been delayed for the Nintendo wifi connection network.

Not Linux, not bsd, not emulation.
The average consumer hasn't even heard of linux.

I just had the following patented:
"A method by which ideas of an individual or company can have their ideas recorded and checked by a goverenment agency. And then awarded full rights of ownership of idea."
I also sent a cease and disist letter to the US patent agency.
