You don't need a credit card to use Pyapal. Sign up, give your bank account info, and you can transfer directly from your bank account. If you're uncomfortable with this, cancel your account as soon as the money goes through.
That's kinda funny.. I have the AIW Radeon in XP. The default MS drivers for the card even worked just fine, right on bootup. I had to install ATI's drivers for the TV to work, of course.. but as soon as I did, everything worked perfectly (even the AC-3 output). Absolutely no problems. Even the new Catalyst drivers rock, never had any problems whatsoever.
Dancing in the Dark, Glory Days, Born to Run, Hungry Heart, Secret Garden.
These are the ones just from the top of my head that come on the radio quite frequently. Just because you're a 15 year old suburbanite idiot who thinks Eminem and maybe the fronting, lying, frauding Marilyn Manson are gods doesn't mean everyone else is too.
Looks nice, but doesn't have the functionality and *internal* configuration of a Mac. The current towers (starting with the Blue G3) are the best damn cases i've ever seen. Pull one small lever and the whole thing opens up, laying the motherboard flat right in front of you with nothing in the way. It's even got a very large, quiet case fan built into the side, opposite the PCI slots.
Umm.. no, that wouldn't make any sense. Use Passport to buy.. the things money can't buy? No, there are something things money can't buy.. for everything else [the things money CAN buy], there's Passport/Mastercard..
There were certainly other social and political factors that need to be part of that test. There is no right to free speech in those communist countries.. suppression of ideas is the norm.
BTW, I find it extraordinary that a new company is making brass caplamps again (Nimex.. IMO sells them), but avoid them. My friend and I picked up a couple at the convention, and refuse to stay lit. No problems with my Guy's Dropper:)
I think slashdot is here to show news for nerds, and stuff that matters, not to post the interests of one man.
Good for you. Frankly, no one cares why you think slashdot is here. Slashdot is and always has been Rob Malda's site, and he can put here what he damn well pleases. There's no stated Slashdot Mission this story isn't a part of. This is Rob Malda's site. That's it. Deal with it.
Umm, they didn't steal love, they stole tangible resources. Electricity, data bits, coax bandwidth.. These are all tangible objects. And they cost money. You can't toss one in the back of your truck and drive away with it, but you can certainly steal it.
If I hacked a system and wire-transferred $10,000 from your bank account to mine, would you say you didn't mind because I didn't steal anything physical? After all, I didn't take a fat sack of cash from you and run off with it, I just changed some data in a computer.
Everything Jack the Ripper did was illegal. Same goes for Bin Laden.
Does that make them right?
Uhhh....

Well, it can't mean that they are restricting rights to GPL'd software, because they aren't
able to do so.
Totally false. They would only have to release the source of any modified GPL'd software. I can put vi up for purchase without providing the source code as long as I haven't changed it.
And the installer or something may be proprietary, so they can restrict that any way they like.
Why not? It's no slower than firewire.
Firewire is 400 Mbps. USB 2.0 is 480 Mbps.
And you *know* USB 2.0 will be on every new PC in less than a year (it's already on newer mb's and such), but firewire isn't remotely universal?

enjoy.
I don't get what you're saying.
My logic was as follows:
If he pays $80 to free 20 seconds worth of his life, his living time must be worth $14,400/hr.
You paid $80 to save about 20 seconds recording a cd? Is your time really worth $14,400/hr?
Of course, because all voting errors favor Jeb and friends.

That's 300,000 m/s, not km/s. So, that's 300 km/s, so 40500 km would take ~ 135 seconds, or 2 minutes 15 seconds.

Someone release a case like THAT for x86!!
So history ends in 70 - 80 years?
Cool.

As opposed to the white niggers?
What are you getting at? It's quite easy to burn plastic with a butane lighter... (trust me, I do it all the time)
Linux *Kernels*, yes. But throw a GUI on there and see if that 15,000 hour MTBF stays the same.
Wow, when Microsoft issues security update they are lambasted for putting out an insecure operating system.
Apple releases massive security update and they are lauded for their focus on protecting their users.
Red Hat releases security updates and no one mentions them at all.
Only a handful? The Atari 2600 had thousands of games...

Wish I had mod points ;)
:D
Just got back from the NSS Convention up in Maine.. were any of you guys there? If not, you didn't miss much.. Maine isn't exactly cave central...
I'm going to McFail's tomorrow, complete with my brand new "CARBIDE IN MY BLOOD" license plate cover

Why can't it use the standard windows widgets like every other fucking program?
I don't want every single program to look astoundingly different. Screw this skinning crap!
You're wrong. D-VHS is far higher quality. It's HDTV, whereas DVD is normal television resolutions.
