Took a little getting used to, but the AwesomeBar is pretty damn awesome. If you really hate change for the better, you can download an addon that gives you the old one.

Are some of you really that dense? I'm going on the assumption that it doesn't ask him to agree to the license until he installs it, which happens after you purchase the product. So in this case, EA sold him a game and then didn't want to extend a license to him so therefore he should get his money back. I've had to charge back a couple of times with my bank and it is pretty easy and painless. And why doesn't he just set up a new account to play? Works with PSN, Xbox Live, and many MMORPGs.

  4. Knowing your hardware on Reminiscing Old School Linux · · Score: 1

I was a young kid, but I think Redhat 5.1 was the shit. Back when you had to be pretty specific with hardware, what was supported and what wasn't. Often times it was a nightmare. Was a ton of work getting my hands on free hardware and to find out it wouldn't work, then I'd have to beg my dad for something I knew would work. With today's work being done on the kernel, it's been a long time since I've come across unsupported hardware.

Off topic, but just adding to the thought of air conditioning. I live in Florida. When I was renting apartments, I would always scratch my head at what was considered an emergency in climate control. If my heater broke, maintenance would have to come fix it any time of day. Mind you, there's maybe 10 days total of freezing weather here. However, if the AC unit went out on a 110 degree Sunday in August, I'd have to wait until the next day for service.

I think you're missing the point. Anonymous calls themselves a voice of free speech but seeks to punish a group exercising theirs. Anonymous is clearly pursuing personal interest in this case. Sadly, people like these idiots aren't exempt from freedom of speech, but then I'm also clearly biased. And not everyone hates everything they do or they wouldn't have members. Just sayin.

Since I heard members of MADD stake out bars and follow patrons leaving only to call the cops and make sure they're arrested for DUI, I have grown to dislike them too. Shit like that is counter-therapeutic and won't bring them any closure for their tragedy. Instead of them having the imagenof a support group of activists trying to impact the world in a positive way, they come off as bitter women looking for revenge. Why not stake out a bar and offer to buy someone a cab home? It's a poor decision to drink and drive, sure, but with alcohol comes poor decisions.

  12. This isn't new on Sensor Measures In Fingertips If Driver Is Drunk · · Score: 1

This technology has been around for a while. A few years ago I came across a guy (ironically in a bar) who had to wear a sensor on his ankle for probation. Every morning he'd hook it up to a phoneline so it could snitch on him if he'd been drinking.

You just gave children and adults alike the best reason to buy these games. When legislation passed to print "Explicit lyrics" on records, Twisted Sister were ecstatic because they knew kids would want the profane album. As Denis Leary said about the cigarette warning label: they could make a black pack with a skull and crossbones, call them Tumors and people would line up around the block to buy them.
