It is a shame for him. In the "inside the show" just before 200, he said how glad he was just to be working.

Oh well, here's to ten great years *raises beer*

Whenever I wear my bluetooth earpiece, I get two common complaints:

      - Echo (microphone picking up what the speaker is emitting)
      - Wind noise ( windows down in car, riding bicycle, etc. )

This seems to be common among all but some highly priced bluetooth earpieces.

If TFA's subject actually works, I'll be first in line to get one!

Just like the parent says - and to make sure there are no hitches, follow this order:

    Update your sources.list

    apt-get update
    apt-get upgrade
    apt-get dist-upgrade
    (reboot)

    And you're all set. Painless.

  9. No more losing packages I installed! on Ubuntu 6.06 'Dapper Drake' Released · · Score: 0

Just like the subject says, while I've been using Dapper for the last few months, I would have to apt-get install openoffice.org and numerous other packages on several occasions. For some reason their update software would REMOVE them! I'm not sure if they were doing this to get their system to their idea of "pristine", but I found it extremely annoying.

I welcome this release, and keeping the packages I've installed.

I graduated with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics in Dec. 04. Out of 1200 companies I sent my resume via email, fax, and old fashioned snail mail I had 8 interviews. The article says jobs *are* here in the U.S., I call bullshit. I have many friends who graduated with a higher GPA in CS than I had and they're still looking for a job in their field or any IT field, one for 14 months now.

Just where are these jobs that supposedly exist?

  17. Comparisons on Oracle and PostgreSQL Debate · · Score: -1, Redundant

Alright, I've done my searching and can't find a website that will just do comparisons between the different DB options.

How about a site that shows me objective views of what Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc. have to offer?

    Something along the lines of:

    select * ?
    Oracle: Yes
    PostgreSql: Yes
