I accomplish this somewhat, but it doesn't work in the webmail interface.
first, i went to zoneedit.com and set up my account so my domain uses their nameservers. then i configured a lot else, but what's relevant here is their mailforwards. I set up one private and one catchall address to send to my private and spamdump gmail addresses, respectively.
The biggest lacking is that you'll need your own SMTP server, as using gmail's will force the return address to be your gmail address, whereas you'll want to use your domain's. I set up my own SMTP with a login/password to forward to my isp's smtp server.
so in my normal mail client, i DO use my own domain address for email, but it all just forwards to gmail. when i need to, i can use the web-interface if i don't care that the recipient will see my gmail return addy. either one goes to the same place.
i remember trying a beta of 95, likely theirs, it didn't work, my drive was kerboshed, and i lost all my old ANSi drawings and emails pre 94ish...which is why i had to choose that less-than-old-as-dirt option on the 'how old is the oldest file on your computer' poll -_-
well, to start off, i can only presume you're seeing a subset of anime. the selections of titles that made semi-famed debuts overseas has always been done by monkeys on acid (*cough*olschoolUrutsukidoji*cough*), but they're slowly getting a tolerance to the drug and making more sense nowadays. one classic example is that once upon a time, maybe 15 years ago, europe got by FAR more anime porn imports than any other kind of anime. at that time, if you tried to introduce the average european to anime, as soon as they saw the famous anime-eye-style, they'd ask "why are you showing me porn?". anime and manga are as broad and deep in style and subject as live action flicks.. it's hard to categorize, most is schlock, but there's some gems.
that said, your critiques apply to a lot of anime, but if you want some good counter-examples: akira, ghost in the shell (1&2), wings of honneamise, barefoot gen, grave of the fireflies, spirited away, princess mononoke, crayon shinchan, and hell, even some of the bad imports still had their goodness show through like samurai pizza cats...
as an aside, let me mention an anime "azumanga daioh", which blew my mind and is still hard for me to define. it has absolutely NO plot whatsoever, but is 100% character-development. it has a lot of no-nos for me: it's fairly girly and VERY cultural (every other joke has an explanation supertitle in addition to the subtitle), and slow to start (the character development takes a while to establish), but it's just so weird and hard to categorize, i can't get it out of my head.
does 'where the sidwalk ends' have any direct educational value? or does the anarchist's cookbook for that matter have the kind of education you'd permit? both of them are in libraries.
i beleive half-life2 will make for a cultural milestone to many, as we look back on how games have progressed. that alone makes it worth including in the library to me. going back to "in 100 years", it may well be a checkpoint on the evolutions of graphics and physics engines..
this is a restriction to hold public office. ordinary citizens are unaffected.
i doubt there's trouble even when someone already knighted wins office, this is geared towards preventing bribary. does anyone know whether people have been made to renounce titles before taking office?
except you misspelled "Street Fighter Alpha 3" as "Street Fighter 3 3rd Strike" ^_-
seriously tho, 3 was a masterpeice, but i still think the alpha series (my fav was 2, but i gotta hand it to 3) was the pinnacle of all fighting games. it's the chess of fighters.
that's exactly what i mean, they'll make the effort to explain that. usually a more literal translation in the subs, and an additional supertitle explaining the pun.
uh.. no, i was serious... i can only think of a few times in recent years i've heard of a tcp/ip stack implementation getting compromised.
i've searched US-CERT for "tcp/ip" and there's only two or three i see.
as for the other flash memory comment.. am i missing something? the tfa is about hardware tcp/ip implementations.. you'd want to be able to correct the code if a critical flaw was discovered.. wouldn't that be time for firmware?
i'd guess the tcp/ip stack implementations available to intel are pretty solid. still, i'd hope it'd be flashable just in case. i can imagine only once in a blue moon would you find someone with libpcap and the patience to find holes in some of the most trusted code in the net.
hahahaha not quite. they'll TRY of course, but no.
online business transactions will still neccessitate encryption, and it would be VERY hard to say the least to pass a law that says "only corporations may use encryption".
still tho, before that law wouldn't be done proactively, it'd be made REactively, ie, once the people were already using it such as to be a problem. by then the social damgage is already done and the outcome is inevitable, just as it is now that joe user's mom had tried mp3 downloads.
i know i picked it up like 10 years ago as a teen on anime irc chans. i don't think i've seen it in a true manga per se tho.. it's fanculture as far as i know.
(lets see just how much more offtopic we can get with each reply, geez ^^)

not comments, that's for sure...
ahhrrr squiddy, i wasn't mad at ye, i only wanted the gold in ye belly.
i thought the essential quality of a troll is eliciting a huge reaction.
sometimes i'd like to mark a post troll, but in a positive sense.
congrats, you got the joke.

go green bay hackers! go brad furve!
sure, i remember a day when libraries had big dirty plastic bags with 5'1/4" floppies in em and hooks on top.. oregon trail, math munchers, all dat.
a hundred years from now we STILL won't see half-life 2 on that shelf. thanks steam.
oldschool #ranma! fh? that you?
good points, i agree.

that's exactly why i like my anime fansubbed instead of sanitized.

who are you, john kerry? flipflopper!! ^_-
i didn't see it. what do you mean?
hahahaha not quite. they'll TRY of course, but no.

i'll remember that next time i'm reading barefoot gen.
