This reminds me of the "profiles" of school-age mass-murderers: They're always described as loners and introverts who don't get along with others in their school. In other words, just like all the nerds who get pounded on by the jocks and snubbed by the cheerleaders and queen-bees and react by withdrawing from contact with the "beautiful people" cliques. And every time one of these "studies" come out the administrators (generally former "beautiful people" themselves) dump on the nerds and side with the jocks that much more...
I'm guessing people who really liked school (not just the social life) become school administrators. And surprisingly people who like school tend to be the introverted nerds, not the "beautiful people".

In addition, the Nokia device has bluetooth, GPS(!), a real connector for headphones, tv-out etc. Prepare to salivate, if you are willing to buy crappy D-Link hardware (do you really consider D-Link to be a premium supplier of hw?) just because it runs Linux.

And most of the glorified positions with huge requirements turn out to be very simple just-keep-that-bench-warm jobs.

The labour market works fine. There is a shortage of IT-people in USA, so people all around the world are taking studies in CS. The workers on US construction sites make much more than people south of border, so they migrate north for a higher quality of living. This is the free job market, and it'll only keep expanding in the future. At this point it looks like the borders for working in another country are all falling down and the question of why should you be payed 3 times the amount someone else is payed just because you were born in a different place becomes very important.
