  1. What is 'the university' on Computer Science or Info Tech? · · Score: 1

    As an American I am often confused when I hear people refer to their after primary education being, "the university" e.g. "I'm studying CS at the university" . Are most secondary schools state sponsored deals where there is just one to choose from in other counties? As opposed to when you here people talking about their secondary school in the USA they will often refer to it by name, such as "I am studying CS at Stanford university".

    So a lot of the mashup's I have seen usually have some google ads on the mashup site, thus giving the developer a few pennies for their work. Now google wants developers to write the code so it can be displayed on google's own site thus google get the code for free, and they get their adwords money from advertisers, removing the adsense payout part.
    Good idea google, kudos.

    As for why they cancelled the presentation, last year Cisco sued Black Hat conference organizers after a security researcher demonstrated a method for running unauthorized code on a Cisco router. That, or there was a deal made. So then just how "black hat" is this conf?

    And after I just spent 9 hours at the office looking over servers, the ABSOLUTE last thing I want to do is spend 5 more minutes when I get home. I defiantly enjoy my job and have fun doing it, but when I'm home I use a different definition of fun. You may want to revaluate your idea of fun before you burn-out.

    your ISP can't tell what is in the payload of the packet being encrypted and all, thus they couldn't see what's inside or add to it.

    Would it be possible to hack one of those headsets so that they output there inverse wave through larger speakers, say pointed at the back or front of your servers? Wouldn't you get a few db drop in the room by doing that?

    Apple G5 Xserves. you have to add a video card as an option. And yes, you can fully setup the xserve via its onboard RS232 port. The new intel ones will have built-in video though.

    As someone who was also recently in the hospital, and also recently had morphine, it most definitely takes away the pain.
    I would have toagree with the parent also, it just makes you not care, sometimes to the point where you -forget- its there. The pain is still there.
    ...although i cannot discount your experience, I am not you and everyone reacts slightly differently to medication. You qualify that statement in your post.

    I would think that this high of a min quantity is because there profit margins are so small, that at 100,000 is when it starts to make them some $$.

    It would be easy to get a system for around $100 bones with linux, but to do it with windows? out of the question.
