Interesting. While the flood were a cool change of pace initially, that wore off quickly and I missed the more tactical encounters with the elites. They brought the flood back for halo 2 and 3 and those were easily my least favorite parts of those games. I'm happy they won't be making an appearance in Reach.
As for how important single player is, I've bought games without single player modes and games without multiplayer modes. I don't consider it a deal breaker if one of those components happens to be weak or missing as long as the other part is strong enough to make up for it.
In the same vein they also have absurd markups on their hard drives. Considering all you can put on the drives is shit you buy from them, you'd think they'd be eager to give them away.
It has nothing to do with being stubborn. They won't put keyboard/mouse support on the xbox for the same reason they didn't allow PC players to play xbox players - people sticking with the controller would get destroyed. Why would they want to intentionally ship a console in which the standard hardware puts you in a position to fail?
The iPhone4 was accused of having a flaw where touching a single spot on the phone can significantly degrade its signal and Steve Jobs successfully managed to change the discussion to two-handed death grips of other company's phones. Unbelievable.
I'll admit I'm a bit crazy, but I'm still not comfortable installing anything from google on my machine. Their services are great, but they need to stay up in the cloud and away from my stuff.
Isn't this a good thing? Blizzard actually understands the long term value of their track record. They would rather eat the losses associated with killing a game so far into development than sell a sub par game.
The idea (I think) is that the modding of the xbox compromises the integrity of the data on the harddrive. If modding has allowed you to hack your save file in some way, they don't want you to be able to transfer that save game to an unbanned console and use it on their network.
I'll translate, since many people are having trouble understanding his answer.
Blizzard: "We ignored everyone who couldn't connect to the internet for WoW and we made a shit load of money. We'll continue to ignore them and make another shit load of money."
Slashdot: "I'm not going to buy it then."
Blizzard: "We can't hear you over the sound of how much money we're making."
They know you're out there. You've been taken into account and factored into their bottom line. The sales they lose on you are made up by the revenue gained by forcing everyone else to see banner ads on battle.net.
Star Trek was a standard action movie that took place in a universe loosely similar to Star Trek's. Terminator 4, much like terminator 3, was just plain garbage.
Then he'd have to either leave the house or wait for it to be delivered.

Umm, once I moved on from ie6 my browser has also been ergonomic, reliable and compatible enough too.

Michael....Bolton?
I don't even see the snow anymore. I just see blond, brunette, redhead...
Only a small group of monkeys encountered the monolith.

I've found it to be a very useful tool to help someone edit and proofread their writing.
This is absurd. The only thing they are controlling is the apps on their store
Oh, so I'm free to get my iphone porn apps form other stores then?
I don't think the point was that publicly naming him would get him fired. The point was it would make it harder for him to land his next job.

You posted from that thing? You're braver than I thought.
Seriously though, you didn't actually come to slashdot and navigate through the comments on the default BB browser did you?
I don't need to wear special glasses to see color tv.
They take the money of the rich and stupid.

and im hacking crysis to max graphics settings, overclocking the card, and still getting 15 fps from it in 1920x1200, in playable fashion.
What?
Donkey Kong sucks!
You'll be able to provide more free wireless too!
