It does, but you need to have a modded xbox to play, and modded xbox's are banned from xbox live. That aside, what are you talking about? They said they would ban the gamertags of the bungie.net forum posters. When you sign up for an account, you can put in your gamertag, and most users do, and lol most even have it in their sig.

Not really. What he did was rude. The show was not as bad as he said, and his is MUCH worse. He cant blow it off as "a comedy", too many kids I know are actually paying attention to his show like its serious, and getting a very misinformed oppinion. (Although I think kerry is better than Bush, I at least try and stay informed about Bush, I don't have my opinions feed to me by some silly TV show)

It's like protesters, protesting about Bush all day, but when they're asked why don't they run for president, they just say something dumb like "That's not my job, he's the one who's president!" or some dumb junk like that.

The real reason I think John wasn't funny was because he didn't have a team of writers giving him a script to read, he had to do the show live and without a script. There are lots of comedians like that, not funny without their script.

Harder, because someone who wanted to make a minimal kernel would probably be bound to some pretty specific hardware, which might depend on alot of kernel features. I've stripped my own kernel once, straight from source. v2.2 I think... It was difficult, but eventually worked. I've got a floppy disk that runs all the mini stuff, plus X11/Fluxbox. Very neat, all on one floppy (mind you X11 is painfully thinned down of course, so its basically only usable to use as a GUI installer for an app or something)

Bungie, although most people beleive so, have complete control over their work, and MS isn't going to stop them. BUT it takes too much work, and so far theyve said it isn't likely. The article mentions how Apple is doing it to push sales of their iPod. Sounds good to me, I like my iPod, and iTMS rocks. That article just shows that they really don't care that much about protecting copyrighted stuff, because, like it said, you can just burn the tracks to a cd and then rip them (actually I'd burn it to a ramdisk, no sense in wasting the CD)

Apples DRM isn't as tough as the WMA one. It's simply there to keep the RIAA from shitting themselves. It's been thouroghly cracked, and apple isn't making attempts to put out stronger encryption because they dont seem to care that much. ALSO drm'd music and "trusted computing" are two very very different things. One is there to stop people from stealing music, the other is there to stop people from having a choice.

  17. Re:Eh? on 64-Bit Gaming Oversold to Consumers · · Score: 1, Interesting

Whether or not the OS is truly 64bit is also of "little relevance", the 64bit-ness provides a speed boost to the 32bit apps and OS, and 64bit apps dont need the OS to be 64bit. Also, the computer is still 64bit, regardless of what OS happens to come installed on it.

  18. 64 bit on 64-Bit Gaming Oversold to Consumers · · Score: 5, Insightful

64 bit proccessors are still new, and aren't going to crush 32 bit anytime soon. As the article mentions, the only difference between the two versions they noticed was the 64bit had the extra things like rocks and stuff. Although things like that do take up substantial computing power, todays 64bit proccessors aren't going to have an easier time doing it then the 32bit counterparts. So we can conclude (as the article suggests) that they were added in there just for marketing purposes.

Once RAM gets cheaper, then 64bit gaming will start to seperate from 32bit. 64bit processors pass the 4GB RAM barrier that 32bit ones are stuck by. I think the maximum is around 16exabytes or soemthing (it goes GB, TB, PB, EB) Also, in a few years the fabrication proccess will have advanced, allowing them to stick more transistors on a chip (which isn't a benifit of 64bit or anything, but by that time theyre gonna at least be slowing production on 32bit proccessors if not completly stopped)
