Yeah, I think this is really important, don't you. I hope that if they implement something like this, they actually think about it, for at least as long as you have, what do you think?
OK, that is fine. But that is not Random. You want something that is not Random, and that maybe the problem here. People have funny definitions of random, and random does not mean 1 of your 10 songs played every 100 songs.
I agree with everything you said, but this line: It works for indie movies, which the audience expects to look cheap, but your summer blockbuster is going to look corny, and audiences won't enjoy it if it looks corny.
Is clearly wrong. HOw do you expliain the success of ID4 or Armageddon.
What, is it open day on slashdot or something. All the newbie are coming out of the woodwork. Look mate, sure we don't read the articles, but at least read the headline.
"Nobel's inventions including dynamite and Ballistite led to the death of millions of people, so he created the Nobel Prizes in an effort to make up for these perceived evils."
I don't see what this has to do with whether or not you drink. You maybe looking down on your high horse, and thinking that us drinkers are running around looking for more money to through down our throats.
And you are a college students, we all felt like that back in the day. Then the real world hits, and when your low paying job sucks just as much as the high paying one, what are you going to do?
The US stepped into Europe for its own reasons, just as the UK did. Did you know that one of the reasons the US is so independent from the British is because the US waited so long to join the war. The UK had to sell of most of its US assets to fight the war on its own.
And don't think that France is grateful for the part that all nations played (especially the US), but how far should that gratitude go?
Sure, I like living in a city as well. I am guessing that you have only lived in cities in the UK or Europe? The do feel crowded compared to most other places. And, my problem with roads and towns everywhere is that you can never get away from it. A trip to the country side is really just a trip to a smaller town, with less people, or park next to the road somewhere.
I disagree, I think it is because they are partly disturbing - which is a risky manouvre for such a Mainstream company. I have seen one where there is this guy in a dark alley, and the king comes up to him and gives him a burger, then stand over him menacingly (this was in the UK). Made me laugh.
Kudos for you for not having a TV, but what has it got to do with these adds? They give you a reason to get up, if you hate them that much, and do something.
Agreed, Wendys taste weird - they are the square ones? BK, Maccas - they aren't much different, with Mcdonalds winning the award for the same taste and consistency no matter what burger you order, or what part of it you eat. All these joints are desigined to offend the least number of people, rather than to actually appeal to anyone.
Get lost, it is so very overcrowded here in the UK it is a joke. You can't go anywhere without being a km from a road or a town - wow, that is exciting. Maybe you live in the highlands?
Ha, I think the parent makes a good point. What the Yakuza would or wouldn't do doesn't really enter the mind of some little kid. If he chops his finger of, then people MIGHT think that he is in the Yakuza, and stop bullying him.
Bullshit. No phone has that screen size, and is over 2 years old. The first one to break the 320x240 battery are the Nokia N90s. Unless you have something really weird, which isn't really a phone - please tell us what phone this is.
Being a UK student, unless you got full marks in every subject you ever studied, I would forget about it.
Sure, this is a dig at the UK school system (and the University system), but if you had to work next to people who passed this system everyday, you would feel a lot of animosity towards it as well.
The only thing that can save us now, is to pit these huge companies against each other. They are the only ones with enough money and muscle to compete against each other. If we want a company to improve it products (Microsoft), or sell them cheaper, then we need to get another company to take them on on their turf.
Of course, I am still routing for the whole open-source/ free software thing.
Do you forget what it was like being a kid. Parents aren't cool, they are not fun to tell things to. In fact, it is more cool to keep things from your parents. Something that is quite boring, can become exciting if it is kept from your folks. Maybe having a secret friend, who shares all the same interests as you, and not even your mates at school know about them. They are really friendly and supportive, so unlike your parents who want you to study and clean up all the time.
So, what do you do in this situation. Are you so naive as to believe that all of a sudden, kids tell their parents everything. Even innocuosly, kids may not consider it worthwhile to tell you that they were talking to someone new last night. Maybe you never kept anything from your parents, but you were one of the few.
What if a couple of dogs go missing in the neighbourhood, will you be pissed when the government comes to your door with a subpoena to search your premises? What if they come in to your work, and feel the need to talk to your fellow employees? (Maybe it was the Bushs dogs, Cuddles) Do you start to get annoyed now? What if they want to talk to your family about your strange habits, and your sister no longer wants you to hang around with your nieces and nephews?
Speak for yourself. I am sharpening up my Rambo knife as we speak. Yeah, thats right North Korea, I am coming back!
...depending on how it was implemented.

Yeah, I think he was talking about a real TV station, not some small sub-channel that nobody really watches.
Beryl is a crystal.

Close:

Other things you said you would never do:
I will never like girls/boys.
I will never get married.
I will never stop going out on the weekends.
I will never like the tast of beer.
I will never stop drinking beer all night long.
I will never leave the party before everyone else has left.
I will never be told what to do by a woman/ man.
I will never use upgrade to Windows XP.
and, I will never drink again.
Look, nobody uses that cheeseball, nobody has for years (or billion of seconds)
What? Do you mean you don't like updating your ipod at the normal speed of the record? It takes a lot longer to fill that way!

The best is Fudruckers, how can anyone argue.

Wow, interesting definition of littered. I guess your post was littered with examples.
Hey, make sure they don't ever meet. They collaborate or something and build something better. That is not really in the spirit of Open Source.

I hate tescos, but that isn't important.
