  1. Re:So? on Matrix Gets Egyptian Ban For Explicit Religion · · Score: 1

Hah, ha, ha. So people from the West can handle the truth heh? Maybe the fact is that the Egyptians want to focus on the truth here and now, like who will the US invade next, and how will this affect me, rather than concerned with philosophical tautlogies such as do I exist. If you can call being assaulted in every medium so that westerners don't really think about the truth, as questioning the truth then perhaps it is you who needs a wake up call. If you think that it is more reasonable to be discussing a movie, than how evil the most powerful governments in the world have become, then it is time for you to wake up...

What sort of mathematics is this?

were only half a million online sales of downloadable music from ALL sources combined!!! in one week apple trippled the annual sales of online downloadable music.

It looks like Apple doubled annual sales, not tripled, at least to me.

On the otherhand 1 million sales is a tiny drop in the record sales bucket. if there are 1 million songs sold that's less than 100,000 albums sold. which means over the course of a year that will mean about a million album sold if they can sustain this pace.

100,000 * 52 /= 1,000,000. It seems more like about 5.2 million. Are you sure you don't work for the RIAA. PS. This was also not only restricted to Apple users, but Apple users in the US.

How can it be a Democracy when we hand over the decisions to the so called government. I too am an Australian, and if you can't see the fact the many Australians are also unhappy with our government, and express that unhappiness loudly and often, then you are blind to the world around you. The present Australian government is crap, just like in the US. The Australian gov is trying to scrap medicare, in their ever so suttle manner, so that poor people have as much access to medical assitance as they do in the US.

yeah, they are tops, the system is tops. You can always protest, unless they don't want you too, which is what happened in a number of the anti-war protests in this country. You need to apply for a permit to protest, and if they say no, then they have no quarms about sending in the horses, and riot police.

    Wake up...

  18. Re:Still single player focused? on Half Life 2 To Appear At E3 · · Score: 1

There is a difference between a convoluted story line, and a good story line. If you like, we could say that HalfLife has a minimilist story line, without knowing the complete details of the characters at work. Sometime, games, and especially movies try to overexplain everything, when this is not necessary. HalfLife is not a book, or a movie, it is a well balanced computer game.

This reason is not entirely correct. Sure the current music scene sucks, but this won't affect sales, because it has always sucked. There is no difference in quality over the years. Perhaps you were fooled in the past, like a lot of people are fooled today (perhaps fooled is not the right word, perhaps unenlightened), but that doesn't make it any better.
