Why not "swap and go" batteries? This would allow the refueling station to re-charge spent batteries at the most appropriate time and reduce "pump time". Of course, it won't allow you to put only $15 of electricity in your car...
I think Dead or Alive and Project Gotham will be the biggest two games there, since there is such a large propensity for style. Halo and CS will get boring to watch as the same thing is happening game-in game-out, but Project Gotham can have drift tourneys or drags or anything associated with cars today and DOA can have anything from massive brawls down to one-on-one fights or even 3-on-1 fights (does DOA let you?).
You even read the article? "Subscribers will also have the ability to transfer content to Windows Media enabled portable devices for as long as the subscription stays active."
Screw this buy energy when its cheapest idea... that'll just change the demand periods.
It should monitor your power usage and drain a constant amount from the mains that will satisfy your power requirments.
The cpu can periodically adjust the power requirements, and if required temporarily take more mains power to allow for an unexpected load. This will flatten the power requirements for the whole grid and make generating electricity cheaper.
Wow! Relax dude.
They aren't talking about 'fixing' people... they are talking about curing the worst of the worst. The people who simply cannot function.

don't be such a downer. They may have a leader with training, and are just looking here for suggestions from a respected peer group. Even if they just end up being 'grunts' for the officials, more hands make light work.
I use a logitech keyboard, and some of the media keys are incredibly useful. The buttons related to music are the only ones i use though. It is easier to press play/pause or stop on the keyboard, than open amarok and search for the pause or stop button (yes i know keyboard shortcuts can be used).
Having those clearly defined buttons is great. It's buttons like, "My Home" or "Webcam" which seem entirely pointless, those are the bloat. As is this strange button next to the right-ctrl key that has a picture of a drop down menu with a mouse pointer clicking one of the options. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT IT EVEN DOES?!?!
A little offtopic, but your realise that Microsoft's workforce is more than twice the size of Australia's defence forces... (last time I checked, about 20,000 people, but it has probably grown since then)
this is a bad idea. They use larger satelites to help slow the effects of gravitational decay. So, shouldn't shrinking the satelites and launching them in a swarm cause them all to drop faster.
Of course, I don't really know what I'm talking about...
but maybe this isn't a plot by Microsoft to make themselves look better... maybe they just want to understand their opponent better. Go to the experts to arrange a fair trial and learn where they need to improve.
I got all excited for nothing!!! This has nothing to do with LINUX!
This would have been a great April Fools joke, except make the blurb really vaigue, and make them (linux fan-boys - like me) believe someone did a documentary about them... yeah... fun times.
if this guy planned on doing anything with the data, he probably wouldn't have blogged about it. He would copy the data, wipe the disks and pretend that he had seen nothing.
Then at a later date, he could do his evil work using that data.
Therefore, this particular blunder is nothing to get worked up about, but the potential for future blunders is.

Its like using filter paper. The more layers of holey software you use, the more likey that bugs will get stuck on one of layers.
Simply stop caring.

I don't think we have batteries that can do all that for a day yet...
Sorry, but cancer isn't a disease... its a mutation. You can't cure mutations, only give your body the ability to remove the mutated cells.

Now having my passport stolen will be the least of my worries...
Hehehe everybody forgets the Kiwis! (New Zealand)

"a mere $78 million"
I wish I had that kind of cash lying around.

if it doesn't make sense, blame it on another dimension.

or has the bias of heaps of these "reviews" been shifted from pro-microsoft to anti-microsoft? This is just as bad! We need un-biased "reviews"!

Anyways, I've been wrong before.

Whose is brave enough to host the pictures? Can they handle a /.-ing?

this is why I love living in Australia! Nobody takes anything too seriously (except beer and sport, which we take very seriously)
That would never work! ... ...
Year 1 - 1% tax
Year 2 - 1.01% tax
Year 3 - 1.0201% tax
Year 50 - 1.62834% tax
Year 233 - 10.059% tax
That doesn't look like a viable plan to me...
