You can just change your DNS server information in Windows easily to 4.2.2.1. I didn't do it on my Linux box, so I don't know how easy it is to change on there. That's what I did last night when Comcast shit out and my problems went away. I must have been the only person in town able to get online, heh.
If that's true, I wonder why all ECS boards are generally crap, while most ASUS boards are great? They must throw all the crap parts on the ECS boards. So even if they are made in the same plant, the ECS ones come out crap, while the ASUS boards are not.
It's a very interesting design which seems to work well, but the main problem is, it's made by ECS. Unless they try to prove they are a reputable manufacturer or license the technology (do they need to do that?) to another company that's more reputable (such as ASUS) and have them manufacture them.
Everytime I hear about ECS it's "God damnit, my ECS motherboard failed again!" or "Not again!! The damn capacitors on my ECS board exploded again!"
Wraggster, get real.
Someone take a minute and count the ads on his site. Now tell me he doesn't do it to make money. He is the whore of every scene I know of. I counted 30 on the main page and some might have been blocked.
Boycott http://nintendo-ds.dcemu.co.uk (the site in the newspost). It's run by an idiot (wraggster (if you're from the Dreamcast scene you'll know him)) who tries to be the whore of every scene there is. He throws up sites for every scene just to spam them all over and make money from the banner ads the sites are loaded with. Atleast if you're going to go there, block the ads.
I've been saying that since the pay-per-*audio_format_here* business started getting big. If I am going to buy music I'll be a CD and rip it to whatever format I please (and use it on whatever audio player (as well as it supports the format)), and have something physical like inserts and cover art.
Anyways, I think it was posted recently that music download prices may be INCREASING.
I am at a LAN and half the people here can connect and the other half can't. I have a few accounts with HL1/CS 1.6 and one of those work, while my account with HL2 doesn't. It feels real nice to pay to go to a LAN and then not even be able to play a game. Here's a big "fuck you" to Valve.
I am soooo going to laugh when someone runs Windows Update and goes to check the.wav files again and sees they are the same except the Deepz0ne watermark is gone. I bet those Microsoft employees are really good with a hex editor.
The PearPC creators should change their license so you can not use the source code without the source being available and have it so you can't claim it's your own work. After that, lets see if CherryOS shuts their doors.
I didn't read it all, but $800 and 48 hours to fix some BS software problem. It would be one thing if it was hardware and something had to be replaced, but this is M$ Software crap. I didn't know it costs $800 and took 48 hours to reinstall an operating system.
I am not sure how this could stop piracy becuase if all they are signing is the archive, couldn't someone who legally purchased a license just repack it and then redistribute it without the watermark?
Giving wraggster more publicity and ad revenue? GG Slashdot.
I wonder how much Wraggster paid someone to get this posted. I'm sure he can use even more ad revenue.
Kinda dupe?

It already does via Jabber.
Welcome to October 4th, 2004!

I'm all for it if she shows some boobies while holding a tux plush!
What a bad April Fools joke.

April Fools! .. Oh, wait .. it's still March.
I feel stupid. I meant "(as long as it supports the format)".

This reminds me of the _many_ times I've wanted to hit Control-F to find something in a book at school or in some long handwritten paper.
I just want to leave the first comment.
Funny thing is, I did just finish compiling 2004.2 yesterday. Still waiting for GNOME though.
Whoever upgrades their CPU to look for aliens is a fool.
I am soooo going to laugh when someone runs Windows Update and goes to check the .wav files again and sees they are the same except the Deepz0ne watermark is gone. I bet those Microsoft employees are really good with a hex editor.
What I mean is, the CherryOS losers won't be able to use any of the newer sourcecode.
The PearPC creators should change their license so you can not use the source code without the source being available and have it so you can't claim it's your own work. After that, lets see if CherryOS shuts their doors.
Or.. take the bastards to court.
