I completely agree. Every linux office suite I have installed on Windows runs horribly slow and I've even had OpenOffice completely crash my linux box on numerous occasions by simply trying to save a document in MS Word format. On the other hand, MS Office hasn't crashed my Windows machine once.

Hilary Clinton is a stupid bitch that deserves to die a slow and painful death. Anyone with the mentality that "everyone in society should participate in raising my child and should share the blame and responsibility for his actions when I allow him to play ADULT themed video games" should immediately be shot in the face at least 15 times and have glass shards forced down their throat while having an incredibly old and splintery piece of wood shoved up their ass.

    Accountability
    Responsibility

These words have been lost in time, their meanings forgotten over years of "it takes a village to raise a child" bullshit. Guess what hippies, we don't live in a village, we live in a country with almost 300 million fucking people and the United States is not a fucking daycare. Parents used to be forced to take responsibility for their children. Now everyone seems to think its ok for bad parents to just point their fingers back at society with bullshit explanations like "my child is a murderer because while I was out on the street turning tricks to pay for my crack addiction he was playing a video game where you murder people that I bought him to keep his mouth shut while mommy freebased herself a snack".

When a kid goes and finds his dad's gun and uses it to shoot a cop, don't blame GTA, blame the stupid fuck parents who didn't teach the kid right from wrong, the value of life, the difference between reality and fantasy, gun control and safety, and that ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES.

On another note, I don't understand how they can revoke a rating for San Andreas "due to unauthorized third party "Hot Coffee" modification". There are a handful of guns that can easily be modified into fully automatic weapons, yet those manufacturers aren't held responsible. But some 8 year old playing a game with a Mature rating goes onto the INTERNET and finds a patch for nudity? Nudity on the internet, what is the world coming to...

Also, I didn't hear a big stink about all those nudity patches that came out for the various releases of The Sims.

Are you being sarcastic? I fail to see how having to recompile the kernel to update a video driver is elegant. I also disagree that "all but the most dimwitted of users" have no trouble with this process. I see this as being one of the largest problems with Linux users: assuming that Linux is simple and easy to use for everyone.

The vast majority of computer users throughout the world would not know how to recompile the kernel of their operating system. Even those who do know how might prefer the word tedius instead of elegant.

I think Microsoft is obviously doing something right if so many people are pirating their software, and if changing their activation processes pisses off so many people. If no one liked/used Microsoft software, then this would be a non-issue.

That's the problem with Microsoft, they have so much of the market that many people are stuck using their locks, even when they know they're garbage.

These two statements contradict each other. You're saying even though there are already many free alternatives, everyone is stuck using Microsoft. Also by your logic, people using Windows and have a problem with it should have known better. I agree, people who don't like Microsoft shouldn't use their products, they should use an alternative, but if they choose to continue to use Microsoft products, then they should have known better, and they should shut the fuck up about it. There are many reasons why Microsoft has so much of the market share and linux does not. It isn't entirely about the fact that linux is too complicated for basic PC users, people who just read email, listen to music, or play games, although that is important. The real factor is that most people don't care. They don't care enough to put for the effort to convert to a new OS and put for the time to learn it. People have a hard enough time remembering to wash their hands or look before changing lanes on the freeway, so why the hell should we expect them to care enough about their computer to make a change like that. That is what it boils down to.

Last year I have thousands of dollars to charities, expressed as a percentage of my salary that makes me 100 times better then Gates. Gates can give away 99% of his salary and still live like a king on a couple of billion dollars.

"The foundation's grants have provided funds for underrepresented minority college scholarships, AIDS prevention, diseases that strike mainly in the third world, and other causes. The Foundation currently provides 90% of the world budget for the attempted eradication of poliomyelitis, the World Health Organization having 'moved on' to other diseases. In June 1999, Gates and his wife donated US$5 billion to their foundation, the largest single donation ever by living individuals. He has donated more than 100 million dollars to help children suffering from AIDS." All from wikipedia

So because Gates doesn't give away 99% of his savings, he isn't giving much? I don't see you giving up every dime you have and living on the street. I mean, you can always give more, but belittling a man's attempts to help others because "he can always do more" is pathetic.
