Steam engines usually need to be supplied with water.

The article doesn't state whether it would be necessary to periodically stop and fill up with water, whether it will be a closed system, and if not, will the water supply last as long as the fuel in the tank?

They mention extracting energy from the cooling water as an additional source of energy. But is this related to the water being used in the steam engine?

This article is very thin on specifics, but constantly having to stop and fill up with water sounds like a downside to me...

Here in Africa we every now and then get to read about some tourist who thought posing next to the lion in the game park would be really cool. (And got eaten)

IMHO foreigners really have no clue of how dangerous these creatures really are. I can only imagine what would happen if you brought the lions/elephant right into these people's back yards. Scary. (No, elephant are not friendly, peace-loving animals.)

Also, in the game parks here it's pretty darn difficult to keep the animals inside. Expensive fencing isn't feasible when enclosing an area the size of a province/state. The net result is game rangers have to continually bring animals back into the reserves. Which is somewhat acceptible in Africa as the game parks are generally surrounded by sparsely populated rural areas.

Robots so far haven't been the best looking things, as their inventors rarely see a need to cover them up with "skin" or something that looks vaguely aesthetic.

So maybe this will make new robots resemble something a bit more organic, by, say, colouring this stuff to look like human skin. I think this would go a long way in making them more appealing to the public.

Of course, your electrician friend prob. didn't have that luxury, so I'm sorry to hear about your ordeal. As for me, said breakers once saved my life. And while I agree that 240v hurts like hell. Actually, that sounds exactly like the "democracies" I know. America not being one of those I know first-hand, but from recent wars and the like, sounds pretty much the same. The USA just kills people on a bigger scale.

I find it very amusing that most of the replies I get of things that the "evil" Russians are doing that make them not qualify for a democracy, are done by perfectly "legitimate" democracies worldwide. Being myself a citizen of a very new-found democracy. I can tell you one thing, It IS very corrupt, and cencorship does take place. It's just that now everybody KNOWS it's happening. Maybe it is just because it is a new democracy. But articles like this convince me otherwise.

Let's just face it, all governments do these things. Just like there is no true communism, there is no true democracy.

Anyway, besides Russia, what democracy is NOT sliding towards socialism? They all are.

The main reason I see for this? The majority is poor. They like getting free stuff. Socalism/Communism promises free stuff (Even though it never delivers). Thus popular vote (In the world according to Chatsubo) will always favour those who promise more socialistic behaviour from government.

Look at the way politicians canvas. They PROMISE YOU STUFF! "We'll build more houses for the poor", "We'll provide cheaper medical care" etc. etc. etc.

Like I said, they never actually deliver (where I'm from), but then again, the majority is usually not all that smart anyway (Not necessarily the same group of people who are poor, which makes it even worse...)
