    If market forces are any evidence I am in the minority, but: I just want every piece of media ever under one roof, on instant tap on demand. The only current satisfaction to this desire is torrents, and that's a bit unreliable at best. Netflix has for the most part been reliable and fast. Thus desire.

  5. 4:3 screens were largely limited to 1024x768, with some outliers in the 5:4 ratio of 1280x1024. The highest 4:3 ever *really* got was 1600x1200, which 3200x1800 handily beats.

    Thats because pandora paid Honda for prime spot there. I'd infinitely rather have Spotify in my civic than Pandora.

    Those were all technologies that were in some way vastly superseded in quality or functionality. The standard audio jack is currently extremely high quality (yay push-pull transistors) and universally standard and will remain so, outside of the apple-verse, for decades to come.

    In my own testing, you only need to bridge the prongs together directly and any breaker on the circuit will overheat in a minute or so and trip.

    How bout someone comes to your house and busts the door down. What do you do, call the cops? They won't be there to stop the initial break in. They won't even SHOW UP for 10-20 minutes, at best. Some areas of the country have response times over an hour on reports of violent crime.

  17. You may be served by AMD Zen. 8 cores, broadwell class IPC per clock, 16 threads, 14 or 16 nm process. Probably much much cheaper than the 6 and 8 core Intel options. no igpu

    Intel has to fund the overhead of building and rebuilding fabs every year. That shit is expensive as balls. TMSC and the like have lower overhead by having stuck with 28nm for so fucking long and skipping the game to 14/16

    What makes you think people working 30 hours are doing any less work than people working 40? Most people only do 5-10 hours of real, actual, work in a week. the rest is fluff.
