ScuttleMonkey? Advertising? Who would have expected that?
I have nothing against ads, but I'd really like to see them recognized as such, rather than presented as actual content.
The goal of the camera's shakiness is to make you believe that it's truly a documentary, but oftentimes it interrupts your suspension of disbelief. There were several times where the camera was just too shaky to follow, and it caused me to step back and remember that I was watching a movie.
If it were just a little bit more stable, it would have allowed me to follow the story more closely, and I would have enjoyed it even more than I did.
For media on the Mac, check out the Perian plugins for QuickTime. It'll allow quicktime, and therefore Front Row and friends, to play almost any format out there.
It might be worth it to set up a webserver on your local machine and encode your videos to the flv format. I use this to stream anime to my TV-set (I have poor taste in shows). Then navigate to your webserver using the Wii's browser and you're pretty much set.
The target resolution should be around 640x480 if you're on a 4:3 screen, It's something like 1000x500 (weird, yes) if you're on a widescreen set. I found no buffering problems at any conceivable bitrate on my 4:3 set. However, transcoding takes awhile and is a bit of a pain, so I don't use it often. Might be worth a shot, though.
Ron Paul has stated that he is not for 'net neutrality' because he believes in free enterprise.
This is distinct from being against 'net neutrality'. Ron Paul claims that he voted NO on this 'net neutrality' bill because he is opposed to regulation of the free market system, not because he is against the rights of the consumer.
'Net neutrality' is a term associated with lots of liberal slashdot-esque spin, and saying that he is against it without explaining his position can be misleading.
..because a lot of people are so afraid of Islamic terrorists
Now, I know you're commenting on the thoughts of the masses, but part of what you said shows just how much influence that our government has on our thoughts and beliefs. Ever noticed that whenever the media is reporting on an attack, they don't just say that the culprit is a group of radicals, but it's a group of Islamic radicals, even when they don't know who the group was? It sounds like a subtle difference to many, but we're being told that there's a group out there that we have to hate.
My point is, the media and government have a lot of influence on what we believe, and much of it is very difficult to measure.
I'm going to be the typical American when I assume that all of./ers are US-ians, but...
WE ARE AMERICA. We say we have freedom, yet we are bound by these laws which we are obviously unhappy with. Sounds like freedom? I think not.
We have to remember that, in theory, we are the country and the government, and because we our government grow away from the people, we will be faces with issues such as this.
If the majority of us disagree with a law, it shouldn't be a law. Period.
Anyhow, my question is, is it possible for the 360 to output at 1080p?
I can't stand interlaced video, and televisions are now supporting 1080p. It'd be nice to take advantage of the 1920x1080 resolution, it makes a big difference.
As you said, working on a 1200x1024 LCD is awesome, but this thing tops that, without even changing DPI settings. This appears to be simply two 1200x1024 displays, side-by-side.
After all, it's not the resolution that makes text hard to read, it's the PPI. If you had 800x600 on a 1" display, the test would be tiny! With this, you just get more screen space. Neat, if you ask me.
Actually, the PSP screen is pretty nice for watching videos on. I enjoy watching a lot of anime, and I used to watch a few episodes a day, however, with school getting tough, I hardly have any time. Since I got my PSP, I've been bringing my PSP to bed with me to watch stuff, (Yeah, pretty sad, the PSP's the only thing I bring to bed with me and all), and I've never had problems with the screen being to small. Actually, I've grown to like the PSP screen even more than my computer screen! With the PSP as close as it is, it takes up the majority of your field of view, and the resolution is still awesome.
Actually, the hardest part is encoding all of those videos, but with the latest ffmpeg out of cvs, it's pretty damn fast.
Sure, it's contains the same content, but it's still pulling the images from the original server. You might want to change the source tags on the images.

Considering that Im writing this on a PSP, Id say that this kind of stuff is good for people at Sony. Tomorrow, I'ma tell my friends and colleagues about my new ability to (among other things) post to/. from bed. Positive publicity! First psp post?
Or try Camino: http://caminobrowser.org/
I see this a lot on Slashdot, and I wonder... where do you keep your money?
At a Credit Union, perhaps?

I believe that 720p is actually 1280x720.

Yes, and I can shoot missles out of my anus.

So, umm, I'd hit it!

On that link you posted, does anyone else find it interesting that there's a listing of "Google Store?"
In Soviet Russia, Chessmaster detests you!
If you want to open a new blank tab with your mouse, double click on the tab bar. Nice and easy, eh?
I've been having trouble choosing a nice hardware MPEG encoder. Any reccomendations on ones that worked well for you?
Maybe if we get a whole bunch of stupid FPs together...
Turn on the TV, and their heads will spin a 360 to watch it.
-Kid looking at schoolwork.
-TV Turned on.
-Kid's head spins 360 degrees.
-Kid is looking at homework, albeit with a little bit of a twisted neck.
I think you mean 180 degrees.
CHRootKit.
Ma Bell, is that you???
