mmmm this sounds like taking a signal, make a 2D FFT (Time vs Freq), compress the time axis while expanding the frequency one (thus maintaining the overall information ratio) while reencoding the original signal to match its new freq range, transmiting the signal, and re-encode to original ....pretty much like a mux-demux...

IMHO, The really, really long term answer is orbital solar power collecting (both received from the sun and the reflected on from earth) with some kind of ultra eficient way to deliver it to the ground....
    why?

    i can think of some:

    1) solar power hitting earth is like 174 PW of power (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_energy#Energy_from_the_Sun), and the earth absorbs 30% of them...
    2) the sun will shine like today for at least another 1000 million years
    3) nuclear power is in essence, gravitational energy stored in the form of compact nucleous
    4) fusion needs fuel (nuclear too)

    - so, at most...if we attach to earth based energy forms, at most, we wll get 52 PW, at 100% eficiency, at the cost of killing everything else (plants wll no use photosintesis cause we wll use all power)

    - if we attach to nuclear, it wll work until there are no mor fuel, or our enery requirements grow beyond the fuel availability.

    - same for fusion, just less enery dense

so, in near term, nuclear can do it well, in mid-long term, fusion can do it, but for really long term, only harnesing the power of the sun can

    well...that was just IMHO
    :)

Even the newspapers contradict themselves: They said that where no cases in my state...and in the next page, they said that were 10 cases...

Today they said that there were 1 dead....

An hour ago , the goverment announced that schools will be closed from tomorrow until new advice.

And in the center the things are ever worse...
A friend of mine lives in mexico city told me tha the situation is totally awry:
    - No people in street
    - only went outside for food, medicines, work
    - all wearing masks
    - people stopping to go to work

Taking account that our sanitary infrastructure is not the better and that the people here have the tendency to ignore what government says and that most of our cities tend to be overcrowded...

    This not seems very well...

Im seriously thinking to get a van, gas, food, some stuff and some weapons(any) and secure a cabin in the mountains....just in case....

    I wonder something:

Fractal dimensionality is the measure of how much of the space the set fills. For example, can vary from near 0 to near 1 (but never achieve it).

In QM, the probability of an outcome can vary from near 0 to near 1(but never achieve it).

And if, you have a volume of space, the bigger is, the probability of a certain event occurring raises( for example, spotting a photon)

    What happens if:
The possible states of a Quantum system has a fractal distribution in the phase space, and that fractal function has a dimensionality that is function of the volume that are you measuring?

It wont give some light in why it the events seems to be random at quantum level but pretty defined at higher scales?
