The country at this time is severely divided, and it has been the steady hand promised by Obama that has been able to attract voters this year.
The voting isn't complete yet by the way. I'd hold off on counting those chickens. You can't trust the news polls that they throw at you. They couldn't provide an accurate poll if their viewer-ship depended on it.
According to Wikipedia (Found via their search engine):
"A search engine is an information retrieval system designed to help find information stored on a computer system. Search engines help to minimize the time required to find information and the amount of information which must be consulted, akin to other techniques for managing information overload.[citation needed]
The most public, visible form of a search engine is a Web search engine which searches for information on the World Wide Web." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_engine_(computing)
So define search engine as you like, but in a general sense you are wrong. (Shouldn't need the Wikipedia quote to show this.) Nowhere in the words search engine is it implied that you want to leave your current site.
What you're arguing is what is called a Web Search Engine, this limits it to engines that search the web instead of a site.
Now I realize that Wikipedia isn't the greatest source for information. But it makes the point clear enough that there is more than one type of search engine. Some more specific, and some more broad, than others.
I hoped that the Olympics were a chance to show that they're progressing and turning into more than a second rate country. But all these Olympics have done so far is make me realize my hatred for their pathetic government. I feel sorry for the poor Chinese citizens.
The summary is a bit misleading. 4 classes are out, but there are around 20 so it's not that big o a deal. And the capital cities aren't like that in EQ and WoW. You get to them later in the game for PvP purposes. So there will still be plenty to look forward to and have fun with in Warhammer:)
Depending on how formal you want it to be. The TA area at GA. Tech is filled with comics like www.xkcd.com While many will not be appropriate items like the mapping of IP ranges would be excellent.
I made the mistake of listening to the crap he spewed for the original installment of Fable. The released game was pretty enjoyable, but it was not the same game that he was talking about. So I don't know if he ever actually plays the games he leads or spits out ideas and expects them to be implemented. But I refuse to read about anything he's making until it's already released. And I'll stick to reviews by anyone but Molyneux.
I once asked my father who's now a retired electrical engineer what happened when he finished a job and went above and beyond. Occasionally he would get a pat on the back, but none of that matters. It was his job, and doing it well made him feel good about it. Your pay is the recognition that you've done work.
Another case of macs looking cool but not being fully functional. I absolutely hate slot loaders and once had to completely rip one apart to get a CD out of it. (The drive wasn't going to be used again anyways)
I realize mice are the first to be tested on subjects that involve danger for the animal. But I also realize that the functions of a mouse are very different from that of many mammals. All they've proved here is that it works for mice, not mamamls.
And how much time do you waste reading articles about things you don't care about? Then how much time spent posting anonymously because it matters if people know your internet name?
What a loser...
Jurisdiction lies with the company/person that runs the virtual world. And as long as they have an employee in the US, the US will bitch slap that employee from what I understand.
Too lazy to follow the truism format again, but seriously this is the worst troll ever. You didn't even read the first sentence of what I commented about.
One thing that they should have picked up from Guild Wars, and from NWN2. Cut scenes in multiplayer suck. 5 want to skip, and the other guy is afk. If I submit one, I'm just going to have a video of quad Knights of the Round. Because hey, it worked for FFVII.
For the time being I deffinitely agree, though I think a Mac would be more in line for shiny with no games.:p
But looking towards the future (DX10's exclusiveness to Vista aside) I feel it will be just like all of the other Windows releases. It's not something that you HAVE to upgrade to. It's not even something you need to upgrade to anytime soon. But 5 years down the road, I plan on switching over, for technophiles, switching OS's is a long and arduous task. And just like the length of time it would take me to get Vista working how I want it, it will take a comparable amount of time to switch over to it. I know people that still run Windows 2k. Not because they don't like XP, just because it's just how they want it.

Nothing is "reasonable" in a metropolitan area. (For a college student) :(
Spamming confirmation will be the next thing we hear about from voting machines I bet.
*Casts Vote*
"Are you sure?"
*Yes*
"Are you positive?"
*Yes*
"Have you researched your options?"

Good point, wtb /.goggles

Indeed there is many stupid people.

CoC commons area. It still has a good bit of the old decor, but some new flare was added recently mostly involving xkcd.

Wasn't this exact item posted on Friday? http://it.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=08/04/25/1358234

I'm 4th year CS at GaTech, been playing WoW since it came out. Aside: How'd you like that evactuate campus message today lol.
As cool as you may like to think you are because you were born when records came out. Nobody else cares. Nearly everyone has seen a record.

Read up on Microsoft's XNA. I put it down to the truism that "most people don't know what they're posting about," as always. Which is a big pity here.

Haha, I was talking about Vista, but I would apply that statement to both ;)
