There's a reason AT&T wasn't the first carrier Apple tried to work a deal with. I'm reasonably sure Verizon Wireless was the first carrier, I and many, many other customers certainly consider it the best. They're not perfect, but they have the best overall coverage in the continental US and HI.
It is indeed unfortunate for iPhone users that Apple and VW couldn't work out a deal, and I'm sure it's because VW wants control over the phone and capabilities (GetItNow definately puts a crimp in Bluetooth capabilities turned-on in VW phones). Apple wanted more control than VW wanted to give them, and VW doesn't need the bump that AT&T clearly does.
The way I look at it, the only things I'm paid to do, are the things I don't really like/want to do. The rest of the time I'm doing what I love, and don't have to be paid to do it. Well, you know what i mean.
Except that, maybe, once the spammer constantly sees bogus (usless) email coming from your "legit" email account, it's in their best interest to stop sending you spam...just to reduce the noise at their end. I guess they could black-list your email address, but then they'd still be getting tones of junk mail to filter...serves them right!
As I recall it worked equally well with Firefox as IE last year. We've used it every year for the past 4 years or more. I'm not sure what a standalone program might do for us over the online offering. My returns are simple, but my wife has to deal with Schedule C, and investment stuff, it's served us well, as far as I can tell.
I've got it on my Amazon wish list, but it only uses simpler biometric devices, not EEG. So it's not measuring brain wave activity, but galvanic responses (or something like that).
We (my family) played this at the MSI in Chicago...it's a great "game"....my years of meditation in college helped me beat everyone, I even went off the chart (at the low end) a few times.
I've been on the look-out for a consumer version to buy, this would be a cool home game, especially with the other EEG applications possible. I know there's an OpenEEG specification, but things still seem a little bit more expensive than I'd like...plus I don't want to electrocute myself or my family (at least, not yet).
Same here. It's now on my TiVo's schedule for recording later tonight. Diebold is obviously run by idiots...let's hope that's not the same quality we can expect of their hardware and software developers.
I had a job at a large corporation...not too much programming, but (eventually) lots of networking, support etc..
I streached my wings and found places where I could do some programming to expand our capabilities, still within my job function.
Eventually (after about 7.5 years at that company, which I started at straight out of college), I quit (lots of other reasons, but I was also just burned-out and not challenged enough). I took about 8 months off, learned C (only got Pascal and a smattering of other languages in college), and developed a variety of windows based utilities etc.. Not so much to sell, but as a learning experience. After that break, I slowly started back into the regular work-force, but aimed myself at a programming job (but now had lots of other experience behind me).
Now I have a great programming job, working on a variety of projects, and lots of flexibility.
I never had aspirations to be a game developer, business oriented applications and services are more my speed. Try to decide what area you want to develop in, then aim yourself via classes, books, etc. towards that goal.
My prediction for the future: Stairs will be deprecated in favor of ramps.
Or maybe there'll be a ramp on each stair-case. Stairs at that inclination will be easier for humans, but a ramp would be easier for Ballbot and it's brethern.
Of course, as someone has already invented the Elevator, maybe the problem is already solved.

Actually, it's the Killer App! You'll never get cancer once you're dead.
Actually, sounds more like hocus focus :)
Microsoft keeps trying to clean up their code, and as a result, sometimes, features that SPAMmers etc. are relying on stop working.
Guess that means the Earth can't sing.
Quanta expects to make a small profit on each machine, making charity work that much easier.
Can it still be considered Charity if one is making a Profit? Does it count as charity if you're just not making as much profit as you'd like?
Seems to me that they're confused.Except that, maybe, once the spammer constantly sees bogus (usless) email coming from your "legit" email account, it's in their best interest to stop sending you spam...just to reduce the noise at their end. So, what is the nano-walker carrying the two molecules in?
A nano-bag? Was is packed by a nano-bagger? At a nano-market?

OK, so A+ isn't just A, but just a little bit more.
The language naming started at A, not 0.
Two cannibals, are sitting around a fire, eating a clown. One cannibal asks the other, "Does this taste funny to you?".

I put idle machines to work on SETI@Home (with permission of course).
We keep telling ourselves, that SIZE isn't important....
"Because I'm a turtle too."
