The Majority of the Population is Christian in both Nations-For example, on Long Island, where I live, Yom Kipper is a holiday due to the large Jewish population-we also get Passover off. It also has huge cultural weight-Christmas is doubtlessly a part of American Culture.
Religious Persecution was prevelent in Communist Russia, and China today is famous for it (along with other human rights abuses). As a previous poster has said, it goes both ways.

I think that Srinivasa Ramanujan deserves the same respect that Einstein and Torvalds does, which is the mutal respect humans have for people who make great strides in various fields. (One may argue that Torvalds hasn't done too much...but I don't want to start a flamewar).
I still love my 20 gig iriver HDD mp3 player. I was debating if I should purchase an IPOD, a Creative Nomad player or Iriver Player, and After quite a bit of research, I chose the Iriver. Been Happy Since
