    Just research 'Judy Owens' (sp?) In the Stillwater, Ok area.
    She obviously had my phone number prior to me getting it EIGHT YEARS AGO! and I am still getting calls from debt collectors for her to this day...yes, today as a matter of fact.
    The callers do not accept my affirmation that I am NOT this Judy character despite me being a male with a registered phone number under my own name.
    FSCK THE TELEMARKETERS, FSCK THE BILL COLLECTORS, Fsck them one and all...and Fsck you and your elitist attitude.
    It's not all 'black and white' in the real world, deal with it!

    With your attitude, I hope the same thing happens to you for you to deal with.

    At the risk of mod's (I currently have 10 mod points, but chose to reply instead of mod'ing) I will say this:
    I DO TAKE CARE OF MY RESPONSIBILITIES,AND ALWAYS HAVE!

    Not really.
    As a follower of Buddhism, it can be great karmic fun to try and convert them and watch/hear their reactions and back-pedaling.
    Also it can be a comical break from IYMBG (In Your Mom's Basement Gaming) while waiting for the pizza delivery.
    Where's your sense of adventure? ( clue: sad is a state of mind-where are you at?)

    When you get this reply, also check my reply to th First Poster, and take this reply as 'tongue in cheek', but really!.

    Thanks for keeping us up to date and this breath of fresh, sweet air. *inhales deeply* Ahhh...fresh flowers and.. OMG!! Ponies!
    Now let us hope that phase two works in Ms. Anderson's favor also, then we may be able to start seeing the RIAA monopoly crumble, or at least a better business model from them. Both for our sakes, and especially for the artist's sakes.

    One of my best friends is a professional musician in a band, and they checked out signing with RIAA affiliated labels.(about four years ago) It would actually have cost them money to sign instead of make them money.(unless by some miracle they became popular overnight) Being smart guys,the band finally started their own distribution in addition to signing with an independent label that allows them to continue to do so. They are making a decent living with their music now instead of paying some label to be musicians.

    I have to take issue with your over rated false opinion, but I installed Open Linux Base 1.1 back in 1992 because I figured it HAD to be better than Gates' POS crapware (I was right). Had nothing to do with 1995- that was still 3 years into the future at that time.

    Yes, Linux was around prior to 1995.

    I am not only a NASA brat, but also worked at GSFC circa 1976-1976 for Bendix as a sub contractor at the NTTF facility there.
    Neat stuff happening then, and now.

    Hopefully your daughter can experience the 'cool, awesome, and wow' factor we went through...that job sparked my interest in astrophysics even though at the time I was working in Logistics fresh out of my high school.

    Long before I was old enough to think beyond 'Wow-cool- ASTRONAUTS!!-I loved 'playing' in the Mercury and Gemini capsules when I went to work with Dad before I was old enough to be hired there. (circa 7th grade I think)

    Dude! Talk to your Dad with your Daughter present. That was a great time for the Space Race!
    Don't quash her spirit or ambitions....feed them instead!

    I would not be surprised if my Dad had not known your Dad.

    This post hit me out of the blue so to speak...and I have been drinking,...But give your daughter all of the facts and guide her in her discoveries and provide her with the facts.

    Astrophysics is an interesting and growing field now days. Help her out in the right direction! (my humble opinion-end lecture)

      The install of Ubuntu or (in my case) Kubuntu is both easier and faster than any version of Windows since Win 95. If you are unsure, then dual-boot is easy as long as Windows is installed first.

    Dual boot is your friend...until you learn better!
