  6. As for MMO PvP combat... on Bartle to MMOG Players - Newbs! · · Score: 0

MMO combat will be broken for quite some time. How can you provide a combat system with depth of design and provide multiple builds, like SWG, but also include balance between them in a rpg game? You definatly dont let the n00b's complaining dictate the changes! The mods to the system have to come from the experienced players! If you let the masses of (required-for-survival as the article states) nubbles decide the combat system, you almost ensure that a system of depth and balance will never evolve! You will always be nerfing and removing the wrong (skills/feats)to the tune of the nooblet whining.

To use a very popular game, Counter-Strike, as an example: Immagine if the CS team changed the game to suit it for players that have less than 6 months of FPS/CS experience. Result: The weapons and tactics the experienced players use that give the game depth are removed (AWP for example), and the game sucks.

  10. MMORPGs have a huge drawback- on Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed Launches · · Score: 0

I played SWG from launch until a couple months ago.
2 major drawbacks that I have found playing are:

1.Players (customers) are not happy with their gameing experience (because they suxx) and rather than learn how to play, whine constantly about getting owned and then the DEV's (in this case Sony) change the game and simplify it for the tards.

2.Errors in the code which allow for exploits of the combat system (which is understandable), but you then are at the mercy of the dev's timetables for fixing it (if its ever fixed at all). In a server-based rpg like NWN, the scripting and level design of the persistant worlds are done with their toolset and in C, so its easy to fix problems right away.

In fact, NWN is much better than SWG as far as gameplay, combat systems, and customization. Since there are huge persistant worlds out there for NWN does it really matter that you can only get 60 people on a server instead of 600?

I dont play SWG anymore - its total ass. NWN is far better IMHO and much less time consuming, I can play whenever I want and no monthly fee.

Fusion is the process that powers the sun and the stars. It is the reaction in which two atoms of hydrogen combine together, or fuse, to form an atom of helium. In the process some of the mass of the hydrogen is converted into energy.

This is true, when we design OIT terminals here at the plant, we make sure the operators can understand the GUI. If its too complex or the on-screen buttons are too small to be pressed with gloves, for example, then we redesign. But I dont think that is a valid issue in AUDI's case, since they were building a sports car, and placed the gas and brake together to enhance driving.
