I think that portal (the orange box version) released simultaneously on consoles as well. regardless, I totally agree that we need some more short original fun games. We have lots of re-heated epics.
How about the cost to actually come up with and create the service. "Microsoft who apparently feels entitled to my money"?! Thats ridiculous, seriously, I know that MS comes to your door and demands that you subscribe to this optional service, but you could always try NOT doing it. If you don't find value in the offerings of the product: DON'T USE IT, go get a PS3, or play on PC. Whining on message-boards seems to be a rather fruitless solution.
To be fair, if the dev's put in autoaim then it wouldn't be a cheat but a game mechanic that is a pro/con of the control you choose to use. Its class balancing for control schemes.
Sorry you all had to see that. Thats almost certainly PaiZuri from digg (http://www.digg.com/users/PaiZuri/news/dugg) he tends to copy and paste that comment (and others like it) in all gaming posts regardless of content. Its a shame that the two pools are only separated by the rope.
emmys, addys, and many many other "talent, skill, and performance" awards require either a membership or a large fee to submit to be judged. That was a very large surprise to me when I submitted my first tv emmy stuff this year.
The newer 360's don't have a heating problem as long as you keep them with decent airflow. I know it seems silly but just treat it like a computer more than a vcr and you should be fine. Also, it was like last week or so that microsoft decided that a 3rd party cooler could void your warrenty: firstly because the added fans were over tasking the interior fans and secondly because there was numerous reports of the 3rd party fans frying the power adapter on the back of 360's.
In short they do pump out alot of heat, but as long as you give them the air space to kick that heat out and it will be fine.

I play halo2...alot. What I do is keep free weights next to my lazy boy. Between matches or during loading screens I lift while still sitting in my chair. Other things is do is kick the lazyboy out to "lay down mode" and bench the free weights. For abs I enter lay down mode and hold crunches while holding a free weight over my head.
Works in most gaming situations (loading screens, movies, long dialogs) Its worked out well for me so far, but now im looking for something to help more with the pecs. Any armchair workout tips?
THAT i can help you with. Google "trackercam" its part of the "trackerpod" series.....of which i have no idea what they are. HOWEVER, the trackercam software lets me use my firewire digital camera as a webcam.
I have a slightly different problem. In our game we have one player that just moved from ohio to california. So we have been trying to setup a webcam / mic thing for him to join in. We've been unable to find any decent (and free, or cheap) web cam conferencing tools. We have a group of about 6 that are a good 15 feet away so we need more resolution. We both have broadband and want to be able to push video around 640-480 most of the common tools (aim, yahoo) have rather crappy file size and everyone just looks like a blob.
We moved to a two part system vid = DWYCO and audio = aim but it drops sync and is altogether annoying.
So does anyone know of a good webconferencing tool? White board would be nice, but not vital. Mainly just want it to be able to push decent size, realtime and with sync'd audio. Thanks.
Does anyone else think that this is a little silly and a LOT expensive? Above threads pointed out that in the case of a world extinction event getting to the seeds would be hopeless so is it worth the money? Granted if just a hemisphere or something was nuked then it could have a use. It just seems like the chance of it being of any help is far outweighed by the cost, I would hate to give my taxes to something so far fetched.
the thread says that they will send out repairmen, sounds pretty reasonable so far. Granted if all they do is say "Too bad" when they get there then its crap.
Yup. And the rules of the game ARE to have corruption and stealing and the what not. It's one of the purposes of the game. If they dont like it, then they should play something else. Similarly, if you like conflict but dont like contact, dont play football.
A better game for someone that is turned off by this would be WoW or any number of MM-things that dont allow for this style of gameplay.
Anything with competition anyway. Which by definition is destroying someones goals to achive your own. It's really just a opinion on what is fun. Some people like competition some like to just relax.

Vendor Guards Bank, seems easy enough.

Heh, my thoughts exactly. Silly Mods and their 80' pop culture.
