This isn't true. X-Ray backscatter machines scanning a vehicle would actually send particles INTO the vehicle and then detect what came back. Dogs and IR readers are detecting something already emanating from the vehicle.
You are welcome to try! Please make sure you use some sort or open source or open source related data if you want to be successful. It also doesn't hurt if the app in question is interesting to a large chunk of readership (well, the mods at least).:)
Good point, I see it's merits. Some clarification from the researchers in question would go far to clear up the vagueness. I'll be curious to see if the public will have access to the material from the "closed-door security conference".
Did you even read the article?! It's based on the fact the code does SPECIAL THINGS when it encounters specific information used in a nuclear plant.
From the article: "It's looking for specific things in specific places in these PLC devices. And that would really mean that it's designed to look for a specific plant".
I would consider that some decent evidence.
In many places in the USA, you CAN be fired for what you choose to do on your own time. You can be fired for just about anything.
It's called At-will employment.

What makes it illegal? I'm not trying to be contrary here, I'm seriously curious. Is it a different situation than MacOS and iPhones and the way apps are developed?
I do have mod points today, however I did not have any left prior to responding the first time. Modding people down for trollish comments is perfectly acceptable. Telling someone that their respectable and difficult job is "dubious" is really trollish. As for reason, I gave reason in my response. Evidence is not called for in this case; reason may suffice. If you do not believe that to be the case, give evidence yourself so I can see what kind you require to satisfy you.
Wait what? Since when is ethical hacking dubious?! If I had mod points, you would be modded as a troll. Also, there are very good reasons for ethical malware creation. These are the guys who do research for anti-virus and security firms, not released to the wild. Learning how to do it, so code will be available to STOP or prevent it. If Microsoft and other software companies don't have people at this conference, then they are losing a great opportunity to gain knowledge that can be used to prevent this stuff.
But... This was a review posted at least 4 years ago, and the creators of the device actual sent an email that's posted on that page. They've fixed the biggest complaint of this user via built-in USB. So really, it looks like the X-Arcade is still about the best solution out there.
Ok, so maybe while earning a degree you learn HOW to learn from a variety of different sources. That doesn't mean there aren't other ways to learn the same skills. In this case it's clear that particular person did not learn those skills, but it isn't an accurate representation of all people with no degree.
Nice one. :)
91% Geek And no, you don't have to register on that site, just click "No Thanks". Who blindly clicks on stuff, and does signing up lower your score?
I don't see the downside of this.

This just in! People who don't like things, want other people to not like those things too!

I can also navigate menus just fine using the D-Pad. An explanation of the specific deficiencies of the D-Pad that some users experience would help.

Partisan pundit sissy fight? No, this is somebody defending his research after somebody essentially lied to make him look bad and got press from it.
exactly what I was thinking.
Lol! Wish I had mod points today. :)
Hey, thanks for those, they look amazing!
Look at how superior you are, seeing those poor pathetic prisoners doing things that you can't do with a device you do not have.

Why is this moderated Interesting? Funny at least I could understand.
