Well of course they had to make it easier to get in. You wouldn't want to be sued by someone who couldn't write. I am surprised they don't just go with the community college approach. Submit an application, pay your fee, show residence, and get a course catalog.

  4. Sony, Microsoft, Verizon, RIAA on Sony Sued Over Bricked PS3s · · Score: 1

What do Sony, Microsoft, and Verizon, and the RIAA have in common? They all just don't get it. Plain and simple, they don't give a rats ass for the customer base. Don't care if a product works, Don't care about your privacy, Don't care if you get screwed, and apparently don't care if you will be a return customer. The have "Brand Bling" and don't need you. I would also add Direct TV to that list. Screw them all.

Figures, what I would expect from them. Lame, uninformed review. He liked Snow Leopard, ok thats fine but what if he actually put it in 64 bit mode? Try holding 6 and 4 and reboot. Jeeze lame. If you want to see if your in 32 or 64 bit go to the utilities/system profiler and look in software. It will show it. Oh and you must be running a 64 bit EFI. Most newer Macs are fine.

Regardless of what everyone thinks here on slashdot, that is not good enough for some of us simply because it doesn't fall into the most recent standards we have to use at work. They use D.O.D. and also a couple other, more stringent. So.. ya I know, this will do most anything you want to clean: #dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/hdiskX //write zero's to the whole thing. #tr '\0' '\377' /dev/zero | dd of=/dev/hdiskX //write 1's to the whole thing. #dd if=/dev/urandom of=/dev/hdiskX //write a bunch of random stuff...ya I know.. If your using older versions of AIX, pre 5.2 for example and some other OS's you may not have a /dev/random... well there are other methods to do that.

The "worse yet" should be that they arrested her just because they didn't like what she was doing.

The real world reality I have experienced with Win 7 is not the glamor everyone hypes. This thing is simply another Microsoft Product with all that implies. Yes it's junk. I tried it on one box running nothing more than Warhammer Online (which works well in XP) and after 3 days of no issues it began to crash. At first every couple hours then every hour then every 10 minutes untill after a week of this, I could not start the game at all. I also have it on a virtual machine. Almost the same problem except that is my day to day general use VM. I started seeing things like Firefox suddenly won't start or Photoshop would hang. Enough of this crap. When I have to, I'll use XP, otherwise, I'll just be on my Fedora Box or my Macbook Pro when traveling. I'll pass on giving Msoft any more of my hard earned money.
