I believe the issue from what I remember correctly is that Safari, by default, automatically unzips.zip or.sit files, and if there is a file in there that it deems safe (ie, a jpg or a mov) it would launch it. So it sees the executable file masquarading as a mov and runs it.
The question here is isn't that it has too many features. The problem that Sony faces is that how will they market this thing? If they market it strictly as a games console to gamers, they'll put off a large potential of the target market. If they market it strictly as a multimedia device, they'll put off a large potential of the gamer market. If they market it as a hybrid, people will assume it won't do either well.
Also, just to note that this is still really buggy. I installed it earlier, and it kept crashing at a certain site. Yes, I know its still in alpha, just a note for those trying Opera for the first time. Opera 8.51 is stable, so don't take the frequent crashes into consideration for Opera 9 just yet:)
You called your job perfect yourself, so why quit? You'd be going to a startup, which may or may not last. If you want to develop/use your programming skills, why not get involved in the open source community in your spare time? Or, create a little project for yourself that'll keep you interested and utilize your skills?
I love how you didn't even respond to the main point of my post, which is the ridiculousness of comparing Bill Gates with Saddam Hussein, and immediately proceeded on bashing me, my knowledge of computers and when I discovered them (by the way, you're completely wrong).
You want me to come up with a thought? Here's one. You're an idiot. And you probably just put up this extreme attitude of yours because you're a troll, and you like the attention. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of feeding you some. My bad.
Wow. Just...wow. I can't believe your posts continue to get modded insightful. What on earth are the mods smoking? I looked at your posts in that thread...and you're the one who kept on bringing up Bill Gates into every reply when the original post had nothing to do with him, or Windows, or Microsoft. And now...comparing Bill Gates, someone whose company has questionable business practises (frankly, which big corporation doesn't?) to someone who has killed hundreds of thousands of people, tortured innocents and caused massive environmental disasters? Yes, that's very...logical. Get your head out of your ass.
I was with you for most of the post, then you mentioned that there's no hand-writing recognition better than Rosetta? I'm assuming thats the one that was built into Newton? I'm sorry, but I've tried the Newton, and it's hand-writing recognition is no way near the league of modern day devices (My experience would be coming from the P910).
Not necessarily. If you think about it in terms of architecture, it may be easier to understand. Look at your living room or bedroom. The ceiling is probably being supported by the four walls on each side. The room is small enough that the ceiling doesn't require support in the middle. If you scale the room a 100 times, the distance between the main supports (the side walls) would be too large to support the ceiling without additional support, either via poles or other means. I'd guess the same thing would apply to creatures. If you look at Robert Wadlow, the world's tallest man, he had trouble walking due to his size.
Plugs right into your TV monitor. Haven't tried it myself. I went for an LCD TV from Dell, nifty, as it doubles as a TV (with a TV tuner), HDTV for gaming, and a computer LCD.
About the cores, the interview is in EDGE Magazine. Though You can find a response from Bizarre's site admin about the cores in PGR3 here. Geometry Wars also uses all three cores.
Guess what? Here's your proof proving my outrageous claim. But I guess you won't believe it coming from the developers mouth?
Just because you have problems with the launch titles, doesn't mean everyone does. Kameo's a darned good game. PDZero, while flawed, is still fun, especially in co-op online. Call of Duty 2 is absolutely outstanding. So is PGR3. Those are the games I tried, and there's plenty more from the launch lineup (ie, out on the 22nd), that I'd like to play. So just because YOU don't like the games doesn't mean they were lacklustre.
No games supporting multiple threads? PGR3 uses all 3 cores. So do almost every other launch game. Poor launch lineup? Compared to what? The PS2 or Gamecube? Which both had crap or limited number of games at launch? Pitiful pricing structure? Then why are they being sold out?
Well, the whole arrangement of the modifiers, layout of the keyboard itself and colour coding are original and non-obvious, regardless of the alphabetical arrangement, so thats probably what they patented.

You are talking about Windows OneCare (antispyware, antivirus, firewall, etc), not Windows Defender (antispyware/malicious software removal).
And heck, if MS did bundle Windows OneCare for free with Windows, people will be shouting "Monopoly" and bad. MS just can't win either way, especially on Slashdot.
Yes, because an online marketplace is exactly what Google Base is. And Microsoft had time, in the 3 weeks since Google Base was launched, to plan, develop and test out Fremont. Get real. This was probably in the works before Base was known about.

Would you be able to direct me to resources on how to work around the issue? >.>

Damn, so you're saying it won't sort my socks? I really needed one of those sock-sorting thingiemabobs...

EA? Turning down an opportunity to sell-out and stick ads into a game and make more money? I'm...shocked.
Do you not see the irony in that?

Nevermind. Seems like Super Novae is the plural ;)

In any case, there's a solution that doesn't require a new TV: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x/xbox360vgahdc able/

RSS is an open specification. Nothing stops anyone from taking the specs and creating their own to suit their needs.

That sounds like a word-for-word quote from when it was first announced way back when. More recent article: http://news.com.com/Windows+AntiSpyware+becomes+De fender/2100-7355_3-5937989.html
Anti-Spyware is free and Windows Defender is gonna be included in Vista. Your logic fails.

What has that got to do with his statement that Halo 2 was met with lukewarm reception?
