  1. I think I have this! on Researchers Uncover the Genetic Roots Behind Rare Vibration Allergy (vice.com) · · Score: 1

This makes me sound like I browse WebMD and then believe that I have every malady out there but I've been diagnosed with Exercise-Induced Anaphylaxis and Urticaria (http://www.aafp.org/afp/2001/1015/p1367.html). However, my doctor indicated that even vibrations can set it off. I once broke out in hives while just standing at a concert. The boom-boom-boom of the beats over the course of a couple of hours was, apparently, enough to bring out the hives. Shit sucks. I have to take Zyrtec to exercise, take a flight, go to a concert, or use my jackhammer.

Maybe fire them. But I often wonder if you are better off keeping the folks that fuck up like this (once) -- thinking that they will learn from their mistake and will be very unlikely to let that happen again. Perhaps the new hire will be less error-prone but who knows.

I use "virtual account numbers" for online purchases with my Citi Mastercard. It adds a few steps to the process for a merchant that you haven't used before but it's totally worth it. You're still fucked in a brick and mortar shop, of course.

Maybe I misinterpreted this response but... I took my Galaxy S4 (Verizon) to Spain and Portugal last year and just popped out the SIM card and popped in the Orange (Spain) / Vodafone? (Portugal) SIM cards. Mostly used it for maps/GPS. Awesome. Maybe this is key: The phone is running Cyanogenmod.

Anderson Cooper is great, IMHO. Just not as a news person since he is on a shitty news network. His New Year's Eve show is great and I thought he did a good job as host of "The Mole".
