We use Vexira with Postfix on Linux. It also works with Qmail.
It works great, and it updates the definitions file automatically. There is an evaluation version available.
He meant using Kazaa to pirate other software. It's a great tool for getting the latest games and productivity software for free.
Sure there are laws againts piracy, but a lot of people just don't give a f**k. Using Kazaa or other P2P to get software, mp3, and films is so easy you don't think about it!
PHP was created with webpages in mind. Perl was not. Where I work we use PHP for all web development, and Perl for all the under the hood work of systems management, messaging, etc.
While we could certainly have used Perl for web development, we found PHP a better tool for this.
If you need a GUI to administer a server - then you should'nt administer a server!
With *nix this is no problem, as it as always been ben run through the CLI.
Some years ago I was administering a few OS/2 servers. One of them was a combined web- and mailserver. Thankfully I could disable the loading of Presentation Manager (the GUI) in OS/2 so that only the to apps I needed got started. I saved a lot of resources by doing that and there was less processes that could possibly crash. The server ran on low end hardware but was rock solid.
Doesn't the OpenOffice file format work a bit like this? It is XML based, and comes as a zip archive with any included graphics. To script it should be quite easy.

Also the EFF will be running ads in Rolling Stone next month asking if enthusiasts are tired of being treated like criminals.
But they are criminals! I am one myself. I use P2P quite a lot, but only for downloading and sharing copyrighted stuff.
What else are you supposed to use it for?

I used Watcoms WX-REXX on OS/2 (light?)years ago. It was a great product. Now I am a Linux user, but this nearly brought tears to my eyes...!
Warp speed - I never really got there, but I sur tried!
"I'm sure this will get modded down, but that's a pretty gutless statement to make"
Yes it is, if you can't support your own statement without that kind of 'sympaty inducing' statement then perhaps you should just stay quiet?

So does this mean that I can download any distribution from their FTP server, burn it on a CD, and then sell it for $15 (or any other price)?
Has anybody tried it with the Linux drivers?
