You've obviously never seen the stupidness that goes on nowadays. I wish that schools could go that simple. But they don't even trust their own teachers.
The Wireless mode of the Nintendo DS is really impressive. Whether you play VS mode with Mario 64 DS, or if you send messages to each other using Pictochat, the range goes as far as 10 to 30 meters, even passing through walls and doors. We expect kids to go wild with it during boring school sessions in the next couple of months. Not to mention the cheating tool it can become... Nintendo just opened itself another niche market. The technology used for wireless connectivity is IEEE 802.11b, which some of you might already know from Wireless home or office networks.
I can just imagine schools setting up jammers for 802.11b just because everyone brought in their DS to play during math class. Or even cheated on tests.
On the Other hand, I think that this brings portable gaming another step closer to computers (even possibly further). 3D rendered graphics, and in-game chat? That's awesome. Now we just need to be able to interface the DS with a Computer network for multiplayer that way!
But seriously, sweaters that are one-size-fits-all. That'd be awesome! The only reason I get suits at Sears instead of Marshall Field's is because I know it'll be too small for me in a year or so. Ahh...sweet puberty.
Of course you understand, Microsoft will probably find a way to copyright "Office" and "Windows" by then. (See, story from about a week ago which I can't find).
Actually, I hate my old cell phone only for lack of interesting games. I think that it would be a good idea to have a basic cell phone and then a loaded cell phone -- depending on who you are. When it comes to battery consumption, games and SMS don't take up batteries unless you use them.
I'm not sure about the first two, but I believe allofmp3 is based in russia, and nothing that gives free songs away can possibly be legal. And, iTunes can encode stuff in AAC loseless. My only problem with it is that it takes a while to load.
The main thing about iTunes is the Music Store. Where else can you get songs for 99 cents a pop? Also, I don't generally use m3u's and the AAC loseless format is hard to beat.
Seriously, you have to register for ANOTHER service just to play Counterstrike or HL online! It is the worst idea ever and it's why I never play any HL games online (I do MoH or CoD). Companies need to wise up.
It serves em right to have been overloaded.
Something for MS to worry about

No matter how much market share Microsoft may have with its OS, Firefox will eventually prevail. Microsoft better wise up soon and figure out that if it doesn't do something with IE, then that 80% of users will go the way of Netscape.
Yeah, I think the stylus is a bit annoying when you're trying to control the radar, but aside from anything, Hunters shows you the possibilities on the DS. Multiplayer through wireless. So far the only people who've done this on a handheld specifically (to my knowledge) are the nGage folks (which aren't the best games in the world -- PS1 Games?!)

This is school administrations we're talking about here. Do you expect them to have any technical know-how?
Even better would be iSketch integrated into the DS so you can play with your friends.

What Cathedral are they looking at, or what Linux are they looking at? I haven't received too many source codes of Java in the past 3 years.

nVidia cards are better supported than ATI in Linux, and they kick butt in Windows (imo). However, there's no way ever I'm using an nForce chipset.
Sometimes a re-make can be better than the original (ie: The Mummy)
It's not all that legal.
Don't be ridiculous
Well, why would anyone give out copyrighted music for free at a loss to themselves?
When we already have FLAC, I don't see that this is a big deal
What is FLAC?
Also, I'm planning on getting an iPod, so I kind of have to have iTunes.

can you see flashes in your skirt? Being a guy, I wouldn't know this...
and then I get -1 score for redundancy -- Read above, H2 = hummer 2
Star Trek: The Next Generation a modern geek show to rule modern geek shows.
I've never seen singles sold for 99 cents... Lemme rephrase, Where else online

I wonder if Apple knew that iTunes would become such a big hit when they released it.
That's 45 minutes of my life to do productive things (or surf Slashdot).
This is another resounding endorsement for Slashdot as the procrastinator's tool of choice.

But what would be the point? Except for getting to Russia in like an hour (which would be awesome because it currently takes 10 hours to get there :( )
I'm not quite sure if this will do much good -- who will sign up, like 30 people? -- but it's a very interesting idea.
Three words: it will suck
