Maybe I missed something but where is it stated the download is going to be mp3? They might well be providing FLACs for all we know.

I'm surprised that nobody has responded to your question about the 3G, at least not from the version of the page I'm seeing. I'm with you on the 3G aspect. Whilst 3G isn't perfect, yet, it's a heck of a lot better than using GPRS. I didn't realise this until I was outside of the village I lived in. I can't understand why Apple would leave off this fairly major, to me and most of Europe I reckon, feature. It's one of the reasons I won't be getting an iPhone. Another reason is iTunes but that's a whole different thing.

Part of the stupidity was though that you were able to buy them but it was illegal to buy them. A bit like the law allowing us to buy Marijuana seeds but not germinate them. That's probably a UK only law. We're stupid like that.

That's another law I'm not breaking now. It was a stupid restriction in the first place. Didn't stop anybody from buying one of the things.

I'd buy a Mac if I didn't feel it was overpriced. Considering they've got such a low % of the market they're not exactly trying that hard to undercut a PC. Short of doing ads which insult the intelligence and claiming that Microsoft stole features from them (I think they word is hypocrisy as they're both guilty of it) there's bugger all they're doing.
