As an Opera fan, I find it redundant that people mention how IE is going to steal features from Firefox and how it stole features from Opera. They all had to start somewhere, and here is a brief history of tabbed browsing. I don't mind the borrowing of ideas because if a product has created something innovative, many people are going to want that feature in a cheaper product (I.E... Firefox and Other browsers having Tabbed Browsing). Unless a product really takes false credit for something useful as Tabbed browsing, I don't really mind the borrowing of ideas.

Yea, the only way they can't is only if you make them stream only. But I'm sure even then, someone will try to find a way to rip them. At the same time, while the RedVsBlue idea is interesting, I highly doubt that that will work. I ultimately hope that some one will consider offering TV shows available for download online (legally of course).

Firefox's memory usage is part reason why I ditched it and went Opera mostly full time. (Of course, Opera's innovative features are hard to beat so that is why I mainly switched). Being on a really old machine, Firefox would often use 112 MB of RAM with only around two-four tabs open, now with Opera at that many tabs, It'd only use around 25 MB of RAM with the same pages open. When Firefox is started up with no pages open, it'd be around 21 MB of RAM or so, with Opera, it is only around 13-14.

Being one of the biggest Opera fan, I'd have to say that Firefox is fine just the way it is. I use Opera as my full time browser, but Firefox doesn't need all those features. Why? Firefox isn't meant for power hungry users by default. It's something that IE users can use. Opera on the other hand, provides all those features to users that are looking for some heavy features. While I'd have to say this, Opera is a bit intimidating when you first start it up with all the panels opened up. I haven't upgraded just yet to 8.0 (I'm on 8.0 Beta 3) or did a fresh install on Opera 8, I hope it is something that Opera fixed. All those panels are really intimidating once I came from Firefox. After spending about twenty or thirty minutes, I really cleaned things up to have it look like how I wanted it to and I just love it. Opera just works.
