Factual errors aren't restricted to blugs. Magazines, newspapers especially, and television have (usually small) factual errors all the time.
And since there's more blogs, I'm more willing to believe a hundred bloggers saying the same thing than three television networks saying the same thing.
Something tells me that someone without the foresight to see that signing up for such credit cards is a bad idea would actually shoot themselves in the foot when given a gun.
