Last time I ever used yahoo, I noticed that it was already using google's search system just it was displayed on there website and they had powered by google, now most of the users still use yahoo because its one of the first things they ever started using, now if the same search results can be obtained by both why would the common user every stray from google?
I agree to this completely, here in my situation I'm in the military (USMC), working from 7:00 AM (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I have to get up at 5:30 AM to go PT) to 4:30 PM then going to college from 4:45 to 10:00 4 days out of the week its brutal, but what annoys me the most that I get stuck taking some "filler" classes that I'll never use in my career, and the teachers don't make it much better. I'm doing a full time job and trying to go to college full time on base, at least cut me a little slack if I show up to class 15 mins, but the common answer I get is well you weren't in class when I mentioned go home and read the book and try to figure it out.
Its sad but its true I've been playing EQ1 for about 3-4 years now and it got me from playing both Consoles and PCs just to PCs... granted i'm sure I grew older and got more mature but it was probally EQ....
I think your missing the point here, you CAN modify your car and do what ever you want to it now if you want to drive this car on the freeway you must abide by the set of rules they set, now there is nothing that stops me from modifying my car and driving it on a track that has no set of standars and is personal, now when you put it to what is here, if you want to modify the game and keep it on your own set of rules like just on your xbox now if you went online, you must abide by their rules but I don't see a single reason why you can not do it to your own product you bought.
As a marine.... I'll comment Chesty Puller won 5 navy crosses which in no means is a easy task while Daniel Daly won a Medal of Honor not just once but twice, which is just an amazing task to do, only one other marine has accomplished this and that was Smeidly Butler. Also both Chesty Puller, and Smeidly butler, where both officers, and if you want to describe a true marine they'll tell you to picture a tough, hard Gunny which is exactly what Daniel Daly was.
Maybee slashdot gives more of a help to the picture maybee theres a reason why more males read slashdot then females is it because, of the way we think that we find technology easier to understand and are more intrigued by it, now I can't help to wonder is this because of genetics or the way our brain works?
Is it me or did anyone notice that AOL is just like a virus you have something good the next thing you know AOL has it as well, and if your a customer all your getting is a broken product, I can just see it now when you sign the contract what they don't yell you that there gonna sell your phone number to companies for advertising, and signing the contract makes everything legal.
don't think thats exactly completally true when the same thing has happend with Clinton copied strait from cnn.com
The immigration status of household help employed by prospective high-level government officials has been an issue in the past decade, beginning in 1993 when former President Bill Clinton's first pick for attorney general, Zoe Baird, was forced to withdraw after admitting she employed two undocumented workers and did not pay required employee taxes for them.
This goes both ways though I'll use my mother and my brother as an example, when I moved out both of them had their very own computer, while my mother was addicted to those anoying flash/shockwave games (with those anoying spy/malware everywhere) and my brother was addicted to kazaa.
Well after 3 months when I came back for christmas both of theier computers where performing horribly due to all the spy/malware being loaded on their machine, so I formated both gave them both firefox, adaware, and the Symantec Antivirus and even gave my brother trillian, and kazzalite and (to try to prevent him from downloading some p2p program loaded with spyware) and educated them both on what to do, and what not to do.
I came back later for 3 months and what do you know my mother was following my instructions and hasn't had a single problem with her computer, but on the other hand my brother ignored me completally continued to use IE, and even installed AIM on his computer (even after having trillian), which in end got him tons and tons of spy/malware.
The conclusion of this story is, there are some people that can be educated and then there are others that just don't give a damn and will do as they please.
In the USMC we have a the ISMT... which stnads for Indoor Simulated Marksmenship Training, its actually very close to the real thing, they have it for all the weapons m16,m203,50 cal, saw, etc. the weapons give real recoil to an extent and it definally helps you improve your skill without the cost of amunation or the dangers of it, I think anything like that is really a good idea because you can used to firing a weapon without ever firing a real one, which is alot safer.
I don't see a reason for compaines to try to use ads in p2p, since most of the users are just teenagers getting music and have little money to begin with, most adults are to afraid to use p2p because they see it in the news with the lawsuits going on with the RIAA, In my oppion i'll just stick with torrents its nice, spyware free and the system works a hell of alot beter and you know the file your revieing works unlike the.mp3s going around on kazaa.
I'm also not sure how Yahoo does it but for Google it is free
Yahoo mail also allows POP3 access.

Google does allow this as well, I just did it for my home and work computer 1 month ago, below is the attached site that shows you how to do so.
