I'd quite agreee. I've got an Apple LaserWriter Pro that I've had for 4 years, and it was given to me by a friend at a dental office. It was one of three printers I received from there (the other two were LaserWriter Selects). I just checked, and it has a date of July 1993. Only 'problems' I ever really have with it are when it's time for a new toner.

OK, gotta get this out. The fools who actually believe that Bush went out of his way to not help people in need because they are black disgust me. With reguards to Katrina, Bush called the governor of Louisiana on MONDAY say she might want to consider evacuation. She said no. He asked if she wanted help on Tuesday, AFTER the levees were already broken. She said give me 24 hours to think about it. She finally relented on Wednesday. Unfortunately, the best I can come with at the moment is this story that hints at it when it mentions the National Guard. Anybody else have a better link.?

I know it's pretty much useless to ask, but could you please stop throwing around these unfounded accusations?

IOW, it seems to me both are rather easy. In the case of the VCR, it CAN be put in tape, hit record. I do that somewhat often, actually. I decide it's time for bed, want to record what I'm watching, so I just turn on the VCR, change the channel, hit the "one-touch-record" button 2 or 3 times depending on whether it's 1/2 hour or an hour.

Funny... well humourous anyway story. I work at Target, sometimes in Electronics. A year or so ago, a kid came in to buy a video game, or some such. I ring him up, give him the total, and take his money. I took a look at it, and in it was a $2 bill. With RED ink for the serial number and the seal under the "TWO" on the right side of the face. I'm thinking COOL! Gotta be worth something. OK, for about 5 seconds I thought "What the heck?!?" After looking, and feeling the bill I decide it's legit. Mom looks at me like "Well, he wants to spend it, that's his decision.

So finish the transaction, then call a co-worker over to watch me exchange it for some of my own money. Turns out it IS worth a bit more than $2, but not much, for now. Being as it's a 1963 die, I figure it'll be worth something some day.

Kerry claims to be Catholic, but as far as I can tell it is in name only. A Catholic is supposed to look to the Pope for leadership (and through him, God). A Catholic is supposed to be as anti-abortion as possible, for example. Kerry on the other hand has been named by a certain 'liberal' group (sorry, don't know the name of the group) as being the most liberal senator in existance. As in: Ted Kennedy is the more conservative senator from Massechussettes.

So, from what I've seen/heard/whatever, Kerry is NOT Catholic. (Just to block a few flames, neither am I, as it happens).

I think the grandparent has a not quite correct idea of what happens. Think of it this way. As a parent, a person likes doing things for their children. Yes, there is a limit to everything, but the basic idea holds.

"I want my child to know he/she is loved, and as part of my love, I give them things on occasion. Yes, punishment is also involved too."

Now, said parent likely will get more satisfaction from giving if child acutally asks for particular item/event/whatever. So, parent might wish to wait until child acutally asks.
