Most people doesn't hate the USA. Except some (or rather, many) things they do. It is not specific to the USA, if China would do the same, it would be China's deeds that people hate. And there ARE deeds of China that are hated. So, nah, it is not about the USA, it is about deeds.
That password was owned by Verizon. He should have changed it to 'own' it, but he didn't.
This situation is like: you go into the shop, pay for some item but leave it on the counter. The vendor notices it, runs out of the shop and hands it to you, again. You scream a hissy fit that the vendor dared to touch YOUR ware.
He should have learned from this lesson and not be a dick and post this on Slashdot.
It's not a disease, but a harmful delusion. It will probably hinder interstellar existence in many ways. So, the GP is right, either religion (especially forceful conversions) will be gone, or we will never survive on long term in a multi-species environment.
If they have been KNOWN by the FBI for 10 years (which means they operated for more than 10 years), and they didn't breach any government secrets so far, what kind of spies they were???
>Having a second source for a critical subsystem makes a lot of sense, and savvy customers tend to encourage their vendors in this direction.
It is not enough to be savvy, they need to be powerful customers who can avoid a vendor lock-in. It helps a lot if you are a customer who can set the standards because you are the only customer.
No. Both are bad. The fact that Apple is evil won't make Microsoft less dirtier. Btw, it is funny, i didn't even see the name of the parent when read his post. (first post, defending M$? --> should be sopssa, CHECK).
If they don't get cured, they will switch to something else (if there is something else). If they are cured by that something they will likely use that cure next time (also word goes around).
Of the three: wolfram, bing, google; only wolfram alpha has some faint idea what I actually look for. But wolfram only parsed 'planets' from the sentence. So, if i asked 'number of planets in the fridge', it answered the SAME. Still, a long way.
You could have just transferred the generic part of the code back home. No one would have given a damn. You could even truly claim, you worked on the stuff on your free time. Somethings it is better for both parties to not talk about the issues.
It is utterly irrelevant to me, though i use Ubuntu. I didn't pay for it, i don't even remember how i got it:) I don't give a flying fuck if Canonical wanted to waste money on a license i don't need.
Yeah, i guess the Hordes of Mono and Haskell programmers don't have any grudge against M$.
Like randomly damaging the equipment of anyone, even legal 'licensors'?
Yeah, been there done that.

This doesn't sound like intelligent design, nor an evolutionary advantage.
So, why???

But it is not the same color government as in the USA. At least, you get different lies.
The interfaces were obviously published. BSD got ELF too. So why couldn't it be from BSD?
He meant, he will start playing when DA 1-2-3 is out in a single package.
It is one time cost, could be used for other stuff, and games are much cheaper.
If you ONLY play, maybe you are still right.
How many is that 'lot'?
Most likely you are on a list already.

It looks like the U.S. will never get back to the space. I just wonder why they waste so much money on projects they abort soon.

Format shifting is illegal with DMCA.
So, we got a tax which has an illegal source.
That's not a single word normally occuring in text. How many windows are there? And how many eastern dry cleaners?
Unsupervised? Anything genetically defective didn't really reach the next generation.
Common words shouldn't be trademarked. Yeah, like Apple and Windows.
And apparently, GeekGirl.

It was quite easy to me on normal difficulty. I didn't even try to find the difficulty settings.
Depth is relative, for a hybrid shooter-rpg it was adequate. For a plain shooter it was deep.
For a plain rpg it was shallow.
