Well, getting hot water out of it is a feature, not a bug.

  2. most likely not dead on Microsoft Secretly Beheads Notorious Waledac Botnet · · Score: 1

If i was a botnet author, i would keep a list of my zombies and code the bots in a way they respond to a secret password.
Thus it doesn't really matter if a command center is down, i could just start a new one and it reclaims all orphaned zombies.

Cutting a few command centers is futile.
The only solution is to burn all zombies overnight and prevent reinfection.

  3. Re:Privacy and Google don't go together on Google Italy Execs Convicted Over YouTube Bullying Video · · Score: 1

The real solution would be to deny Italian submissions completely and/or block Italian viewers. It is too much of a burden to identify and ask for permission, or even detect videos not containing any people.

  13. huh? on Video Game Music Recognition Gets a Boost · · Score: 1

fallout3 has no music composed for the game. It contains a pretty good selection of existing oldies.

That's what the case will decide?

  15. Re:EA doing something bad???? on Former Exec Says Electronic Arts "Is In the Wrong Business" · · Score: 1

You say this because EA released lots of CRPG's in the last decade?
While I didn't consider DAO a big 'hit', it was definitely innovative from EA's point of view.

  16. Re:At last... on Human Males Evolve At a Faster Pace Than Females · · Score: 1

How the cause of gender selection have any effect on evolution (actually, mutation speed)?
Males mutate faster, because the Y chromosome has only a single copy.

    About the gender selection.
The female genitals could have as much responsibility (like the pH value).
If the environment is hostile to one type of sperm, chances are better for the other type.

I think one of these could be flown into a restricted area more easily.
10 of these is still cheaper than a car. And safer to use, as you don't have to blow yourself up with it.

Why did they attack if only 5% of the fleet was present?
If they had no effective communication, they deserved pwnage.

  22. Re:who tagged this? on DARPA Kick-Starts Flying Car Program · · Score: 1

Fixing the economy isn't the Government's business either... At least in a 'free' world.
All the Government should do about economy is to not waste money on rescuing sinking corporations, where the management would just take the money and run.

There must be some other explanation.
