Emphasis is on NON-WORK Apparently she used the yahoo box for work too. I wasn't sure about this earlier, but the court must be able to tell apart work from private mail.
Not at all. That's why i wrote, i don't think it was illegal. Probably you are much more knowledgeable, so you can tell: 1. Would it have been legal if she used her government mail service for those emails? 2. Would it have been legal to send such mails on ANY service?
I don't think she did anything illegal. Probably she did something stupid. On the other hand, the hacker did something illegal and did it stupidly. So this is 2:1 in the Palin vs. Hacker match.
These 'tower units' are a convenient upgrade of the now obsoleted trees. We gotta cut those old things out and replace them with these high-tech towers.
About five years ago i got some 'pirated' cds. I also bought some legally (in those times DRM was not so rampant). I bought CD's of people whose music i liked from the 'pirated' samples. I still listen to those, and don't buy or pirate any more. Music companies will eventually die out, because they don't have any added value over indie, pirated or otherwise free music. DRM just takes all remaining value away. They should try to innovate their distribution methods and pricing, maybe then they will survive.
The problem is that country USA makes its law a law in country Everywhere. I don't mind if they 'export democracy', the problem is when they start to export their corporate laws which don't even have a wide consensus in the USA.
What if James Randi has a psychic power of neutralizing other para guys? Then he catches them in an alley and sucks their brain out. No wonder they don't dare to fight him. Ooops, sounds like i watched too much Heroes...
You mean, you had your drive 'accidentally' overwritten by zeros using the dd utility? Or what? Obviously the issue here isn't about recovering data from a hd failure or accident. Also, reputed data recovery firms (who got a cleanroom, for example) were allowed to do all their high tech woodoo, so it isn't an excuse either. The only valid argument is that this contest doesn't worth the hassle (not because of the meager price), but because of the meager publicity. Otherwise it is fine.
1. if you don't accept this simple the challenge, you definitely scam your customers. Some will take notice, and you lose more.
2. if you accept the challenge and WIN, then you get free advertising. (If you accept but lose, you still get some bad PR, but at least you can say the drive was fake).
As far as I know, my country has a positive balance.
I guess you are good at statistics. So how much tax is on gasoline in the US? How much US people love their gasoline guzzling cars over an economic Japanese one?
If the US would produce stuff that works for a decade, no one would replace their stuff each year. (Yeah, China isn't any better). And one more word: Kyoto.
Noscript phones home at default (it looks the homepage up).
By counting updates, they could have a relatively good statistic.

if he still had illegal stuff. If they found a murdered corpse in his car would he get away with it?
Well, if there are no bones...
At least now we know the ID wasn't fake.
Except if such specialties make our sentient life possible (or much more probable).

Hmm, i thought it wasn't purely the Dems. Still, probably the Republicans get more money from oil.
or how they say that?

Couldn't the president simply 'pardon' himself and the others?
Then nothing has been violated. We just got the transparency!

Excellent, there won't be collateral damage, should one of the governments want to get rid of it.
It is many zeros with an 1 in the beginning.
The point is that DRM won't deter people interested in pirated copies.
DRM screws only the people who buy the game with it.

It would require me to update gtk+, which would require me to upgrade my OS. No, thanks.
Where you read that there is no light to escape from the event horizon?
As far as i know, it is the source of extreme radiation.

Usually it is enough to threat them with embargoes :>
