The two times I've been to China I can't recall that happening either (6 week stints) - the last one being from June-August this year (And I was in Beijing and smaller cities on the western side of China).
It actually still is good(depending on the area). When I was in Xining (capital of Qinghai Province) two years ago I worked out that to eat well every day (and out) it would take about 6 yuan. I'm not sure what it is today (I'll be heading there at the end of the month), but 400 yuan a month isn't anywhere near a slave wage.
I'm outraged by the fact that both political parties have created a system which just keeps them in power - and accumulates more for them. I'm outraged that the great experiment has failed. I'm outraged by people that just want to troll and blame everything on Bush (or anyone else for that matter) without looking at actual facts.
And before I entertain your crap and let this devolve into a flame war... I'm not going to reply to any more posts.
Instead of trying to troll how about actually looking at the bill? As previous posters have pointed out its sponsored by both political parties and actually has wider acceptance among Democrats (14 Democrats and 4 Republicans)
The LEDs aren't there to illuminate the person's head... they're there to be flashlights (did you look at the pictures at all?). I'm not sure why you'd want a laser to point at snipers but the location is a good one - you just have to look at them to point.
And opposite of that the general public does know about the Wii and there is a demand for it. The perfect example is that a couple of buddies and I got together back in our hometown and we hung out at one of the guys' parent's house... during that time he also got a 360 and when his mom saw it she kept on asking questions about the Wii (while having no idea about the PS3 except that it was super expensive).
Nonlethal weapons such as high-power microwave devices should be used on American citizens in crowd-control situations before being used on the battlefield, the Air Force secretary said Tuesday.
It isn't about the military testing it on civilians at all, nor is it about the military using it on US Citizens either (you may not realize this but the military (Army/Navy/Air Force/Coast Guard/Marines) does not get deployed against civilian populations; at worst it'd be the National Guard which is supposed to operate domestically).
From my understanding it reads that Wynne thinks they should be used by groups such as police forces in crowd control situations because if it was something which they would be willing to use then the political capital opponents of the non-lethal weapons have would be lost. What they're trying to avoid is a situation where the latest non-lethal weapon which is deployed abroad and then having media say that it killed/injured someone.
Like other people said - you've gotta learn how to use both hands for things... its near impossible to get along without doing things right handed.
As for the spiral notebook thing - try the topflipping notebooks, once I discovered those it made things so much easier on me... now if there was a way to get rid of that annoying smearing...
I've often thought the same thing (about college football games). I went to Michigan football games all throughout my undergrad and its a stadium that normally has ~112,000 people in it with very little security - if you really wanted to cause damage why not do it there?
Actually... Jefferson felt that the Constitution was sacred - thats why he hated himself for making the Louisiana Purchase.
Privacy wise - Singapore's one of the worst places to go... which is why I'm so glad I got out of NS because I became a naturalized US citizen.
Sadly, /. is always high on bashing on China.
But hasn't Sony already done that?

Heh, well... the number thing did work - I still remember my number from... 11 years ago.
I now greatly regret using my mod points yesterday... you need to get modded up.
It depends on the area. Where I'm the most familiar with is closer to $1.50-$2/day for a city (Xining/Qinghai, the per capita GDP is $844).

Not really... politically China is a communist country but economically its capitalist.

I would say thats why there're 7 million WoW players - it creates an environment where people have that emotional connection with other players.
Shattered Galaxy - the first MMORTS (its a decent game but the lack of population has hurt it over the years).
Society - a game thats fairly early in development by Stardock

Its a lot different in modern combat - you're trained to aim for the chest above anything else.
I work for a nonprofit (and each employee over 10 hours is required to fundraise their salary and other budgets) and our operating overhead is 7%.

Is it bad that at first glance thats what I thought as well...?

Never underestimate the stupidity of people.
Its justification on the level that the public accepts whatever restrictions the government imposes - its all for the sake of "safety" you know.
