Your date: I had a great time tonight and I..... why do you have stickers on your shirt? You: Ummm Your Date: And your socks. And shoes. And... I don't want to know.
As someone who recently was a 17 year old "electronic Hezbollah", I can say ideology had nothing to do with my choice to download and share movies. I did it, and still do, because it's easy and costs basically nothing. Sure I don't like the MPAA but I would still torrent if they didn't exist.
No, what's wrong is when your reading the replys and not concen... stop reading and go for the fucking defuse!!! Watch out for the camper!!! God you suck!!!
I second this. I recently dropped Ubuntu on to an old laptop and my god was it a trial and a half. Really, I see no reason why Linux has to be so hard to use. Yes, I do love been able to play around in the guts of my OS. But, my god, could us newbs have some decent tutorials? Ones with pictures and basic explanations? Please?
IMO, easy to read and understand documentation would make Linux seem less like a complex puzzle and more like the construction set I've heard it is.
It's different rules for different situations. A person is a very different legal entity to a coporation. You can't "jail" a corporation. You can fine it heavily or restrict their buisness activities, which is, IMO, what should of happaned.
At least your girlfriend isn't studying to become a neuroscientist. Mind games take on a whole new level when they become practical applications of study.
Let's do that! I'm happy with having a vital industry existing in a market with very little competition. That's sure to encourage progress and foster innovation!/sarcasm
I think what he was refering to is writing something in the wordpad file then saving it. Then the NASA guy would open it, read it, write a reply and then save the file. He would then open the file, then read it, etc etc etc.
"...games don't delve very deeply into what it means to be human."
So Max Payne didn't delve into how people manage (or fail to manage) grief? And Deus Ex didn't force you to face the moral out come of your actions?
There are plenty of games out there that deal directly and indirectly with human emotions, ethics and morals. IMO, that is dealing with what it means to be human.
I think our administration (US) needs to take a hard look at China's obvious anti-competitive, and one sided global trade policies.
Getting America to a long hard look into a mirror would be easier and achieve more.
(What the hell does one find in a "Scene" or "Lifestyle" section anyway?)
When ever someone says go get a life, the lifestyle section is the source you are supposed to go to... So I'm told at least.
Working in a bookstore allows me access to book supplier databases such as iPage. While they may not have the scope of the publicly listed databases, they do include books they haven't been published yet.
Usually, it will just be another application to learn aside from your email and IM, and doesn't provide any greater functionality.
This brings us to yet another reason why email is still around; simplicity. All the functionality you need in email already exists. It conveys all the needed information in a simple format and is easily understood. Anything else is just trimmings.
It has worked and it continues to work well despite all the short comings mentioned in the article. Because of this people have adopted the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" attitude.
*throws an editor at the article*
My spelling and grammar are quite bad but the article made me want to gouge my eyes out with a spoon.
I can just see it now:

Sure, the government is happy to get rid of the majority of their tax base.
True, but we don't have crippling DRM in XP.
*raises hand*

"You can have my mac when you pry it from my cold dead hands."
Correction. We shall have your mac when you pry it out of your toasty warm hands. If you had RTFA you would know this.

If you act like a resource, don't be suprised when you are treated like on.
:D
Times like these I wish I paid more attention in English.
"....it takes time, no doubt in part because the answer is, "it explodes."
Actually that will be one of the quickest educational experiences you will ever have.
I've heard of starting the day with a bang but this is rediculous.
That's only a temporary solution. As soon as he puts all his crap in the bag, it becomes full and he is back to square one!

Obviously the runway wasn't long enough.
Incorrect. The real Engineering problem was that the plane was too long.

At least that's my two cents.
You know you are a serious geek when you read the headline and say 'YES!' out loud.
