I can see that...for instance, iTMS has DRM attached to all the files that are downloaded to a client. Obviously, this is to prevent the user from port said file to *another* computer. But if everybody is worried about their App being used, as in it could be used for, music piracy, then the creaters of the latest cd ripper would be more likely to use a form of DRM. How about this: making it mandatory, instead of just an option. I believe that window media player has a option just for this. Any way this is just my take on the issue.
There is another reason for not having cell phones on Airliners. I personally find the extreamly irritating. The guy sitting next to you is yammering away on his cell phone, and you are trying to watch Revenge of the Sith.

Apple switching?? That'll be the day. I heard this same rumor two or so years ago. Didn't happen then, and I don't think it will happen now. Besides it would cost Apple more than it's worth. They would be moving to a cisc chipset, so they would likely have to change their board. So it's just not going to happen.
Agreed. This on the whole is not any good for the economy. If SCO had any case they should have stated it long ago. But it seems that in any large and prominate case, that the courts side with the guy with the deepest pockets. And the other guy of course will try to drag out the case as long as they possibly can... Presumably, in the hopes that in some way their leagle eagles can poke a hole in the other's argument. Kind of like to pitbulls in a ring... The Lawyer to that pokes the most holes in the other guy's argument wins.
I have just two words: Screw Intuit. I have never used their software, and now I never will. I won't even take up the IRS' offer to "upload" the money into my checking account. Things go wrong, maybe wrong account. As for Intuit, well sharing my personal information with a third party does not sit well. Not at all.
I wish that Sony and Co would get with the program. I Tried The iTMS Service just to see how it worked. As a download service it was ok. But I am annoyed by DRM, so I go rid of it. The same to real. I believe that if it has to be hacked in order to be ported to another computer, then it is not worth it. The iPod is a good player, well worth the price, but will only play the apple propietary format. That blows the whole iTMS thing. Presumably, it will play standard MP3 files, and IMHO, that would be the only reason that I would by one. Same to any other player out there.
This is not totally correct. While smashing your hard drive might work, it is possible to put the fragments back together in a clean room. This method is practiced by the FBI. I would presonally fragment the platters, then heat them up and scatter them into various places.
Don't forget the challanger disaster; I was in second grade and saw it live. Ninety seconds into launch it blew up. It took them weeks to figure out that one of the booster rockets had likely ruptured due to a faulty "O" Ring. If any of the feul gets into the exaust, anything in the immediate environment is blown up with the craft. So after the previous disasters you would thing that the people that build these things would be more careful.
That's my take.
There are how many programmers in the world? Don't you think that some of them would have some of the same practices...oh wait I had better stay quite. microsoft and family might try to patent those too... Oh and its faster and has less bugs, and there are more programmers available to fix the ones that do crop up and sooner. No fumbling around like the boys over at microsoft do. So I believe it is somewhat superior.
