I'd say that's about right as long as you look at it is Dimensions of gameplay and not Dimensions of relational space. Of course it could just be the cold/sinus medication talking.
holy crap another Stars! fan? I like that game so much I keep copies of its install file in pretty much every game/music/other folder on each of my harddrives. . .
okay bad form to reply to myself, but I should have also said that its pretty much the same as the console world. . . The higher the resolution in the games the better, but I think HDTV will be a necessity once they get to a price that is reasonable for families to choose as their main tv.
Unfortunately the third party controller would have to convince the developers of PS3 games to write the non-standard rumble feature into their games:( So I could see a game that requires it's own controller like a fishing game, steel battalion, or a racing game w/wheel, could possibly implement it but I wouldn't count on it being mainstream.
Seriously, I actually did that once. It was a minimum wage job and I was a few months away from a better job, so I didn't really care that I lost it. She introduced me to her daughter afterwards though, which was both wierd AND rewarding.
The government is reading your mind. Milk is a weapon designed to keep the population stupid. Flouride is really a mind control substance. Bigfoot lives. Area 51 exists and has UFOs and aliens inside.
put away that tinfoil hat because this isn't a conspiracy, this is good business. Basically, Sony slammed Immersion by saying that their product isn't worth using, Immersion responds by calling Sony tight. Wouldn't you defend your product in a case like this? Last I heard Microsoft had ~15% share in Immersion which isn't enough to be a controlling share by any means. On top of that, Do you honestly believe that Immersion would refuse or shaft Sony as a customer simply because it is licensing its tech to one console manufacturer? Did IBM refuse to make the processors for the the Wii and the Xbox360? Ofcourse they didn't, it's better business to sell to every competitor than it is remain exclusive to one.
Even if Resistance is script heavy the makers claim it can support up to 40 players in multi-player which might be interesting to see. Not even many PC games have that many players, and frequently suffer from impasse when they do (i.e. neither side making any headway).
Can I buy some of your drugs?
In all seriousness, I'm wondering what about this title makes you think that 40 players means that it won't have impasses? I honestly don't think the player count determines whether or not impasses are met.
Also, what is the problem with impasses? If you're playing a war game and one side is desperately clinging to a certain beach head, and the other is desperately trying to take that beach head, doesn't that make for a good battle? Is it more exciting to win by taking all of your enemy's bases than to win by exhausting the other team's respawn tickets in a constant fierce battle?
I think you mean Wendy's for the soquid thing. I wouldn't be too quick in calling you too old, that hasn't really caught on the mainstream for other eateries that I know of.
The negative side (off the top of my head) would probably be in not knowing the engine inside and out (because company X didn't write it from the ground up.) Though I imagine in a 2 to 3 year project they could learn the engine's ins and outs.
In all seriousness though, I've read somewhere that on stand by mode it uses less than 10 Watts, for comparison that nightlight you and/or your kids (may have) used as a child would use somewhere between 20 and 60. Hell, I bet running your digital alarm clock all night would be about the same as the Wii, and how often do you disable that at night?
Could you not run a Live distro in said VM? Say I used VMWare and Knoppix live DVD, every time I log into the VM it would be a "fresh install" so to speak. I could then "log out" and log back on whenever doing anything secure. Now imagine I have the disc image on my hdd so I wasn't tying up my optical drive. I'm sure it would bog some systems down, but for those of us with 1 to 2gb of RAM I'm sure it wouldn't be so bad.
So in layman's english ICAAN is simply saying ICAAN'T.

why not make 10 faster?
No Stairway? Denied!

go ahead and ask any PC gamer if to choose between 640x480 or 1600x1200.

I just think Sony's executives are batshit crazy.
Seriously, I actually did that once. It was a minimum wage job and I was a few months away from a better job, so I didn't really care that I lost it. She introduced me to her daughter afterwards though, which was both wierd AND rewarding.
don't know about anyone else but I'd probably have a new line of credit out, 1,000 PS3s every couple of weeks does cost a lot of money you know.

I reacted the same way. . . I can often let some mistakes go by but this one just makes me cringe every time I see it.
to put it in the words of the venerable Skywalker: NOOOOOOOO000000oooooooooooooo.............
Sentence the second answers your question. thank you.
oblig "wish I had mod points" post.
I bet if you had some OJ with that it'd be more nutritous, too.

yeah and probably like 5 years later too. . .

No, Osama's third-cousin-twice-removed is George Bush.
okay so I always slept in the light, my nightlight had to be extra powerful so It show up over the ambient light, you insensitive clod.
what logos? oh right I deleted them from the folder, freed up like 1.2gb and I could confirm that they are NOT unskippable. . .
