I'll just comment that regardless of performance/capabilities of OpenGL and D3D, when developing for Xbox360 and in some cases Windows dev environments, there is no choice. D3D is what you use no matter how much you want to use OpenGL.

Well since you know so much about comics of the world you might be interested to know that in North America we have comics and we have graphic novels. I hear in Japan they have comics and graphic novels, as well as most parts of the world.
I think you could pull out the spider-man or the superman comics and then bring out XIII and say you're better because its a graphic novel, but that's an apples to oranges comparison.
Try comparing something like Maus to XIII and then come back and tell us America has "comics" and Europe has "graphic novels."
Maybe I just live in yesterday's world where you marry someone because you genuinely love them and they genuinely love you back, and no amount of 'little things' can break you apart.

I mean, its like ingrained in our society that if you love your girl you hate your wallet, or if you love your wallet, your girl leaves you after 5 years of marriage and takes all the money you crammed in there by not buying her expensive things:P
